Q: This product is advertised on Youtube to be just as good on regular, non-dipped wheels. Will it remove any wax/sealant from such wheels?

this is a good produce for brake dust, BDP will work on all wheels but isn't very good at cleaning just dirty wheels, I'm not sure if I will keep on using it

I never had a problem with my powder coated wheels.

Q: Planning on dipping my hubcaps. Would you recommend this product for hubcaps/wheel covers?

Absolutely. I use this on all my wheels. With or without dip. Eat eats away brake dust very easily. Light scrubbing is still needed, but works very well with this. Be warned, this stuff stinks to high heaven. Don’t breathe it in. Use in an open area outside. (driveway)

Q: Do I have to have this before I plastidip my wheels or will a good wash and scrub do the trick?

This stuff will remove brake dust and more, better than just washing your wheels. If you are planning on dipping your wheels, I would recommend using this product, followed by a wipe down with rubbing alcohol to remove any oily residue, and allow to dry before dipping.
