Anchor Hocking 340Q Glass 11-1/4" Cake Dome (Case of 4)

I only needed 1 or 2 new cake domes (a/k/a bell jars or cloches) to cover some of my Thanksgiving dishes, so I was a bit skeptical buying in bulk (4 at a time). However, I am so glad I got these! They aren't just for covering cakes and pies! You can also decorate, anytime of the year, with these heavy-duty, versatile pieces! Anything that is small enough to fit underneath it and worthy of display puts these gems to great use (and by using them all the time, then you don't have to try to store them, which is a bit awkward since they're a nice size). You can display small knicknacks, Christmas balls, etc. on a cake plate or in a pretty bowl, and then simply place the dome on top to make for a unique holiday (or non-holiday) display! You can never have too many "cloches," and when made by Anchor Hocking, you know you're getting your money's worth! Highest recommendations!!!

I had this on my wedding registry and a friend sent it as a gift. The box it came in was not labeled fragile and the interior included a cardboard box with some scanty paper to protect the product. lo and behold, one of the four domes was cracked to bits when we opened it. Plus there was no packing sheet included, so there appears to be no way to Contact the seller. The dome may be a nice piece, but you may not have the opportunity to discover that, since its packing and shipping is so shoddy.

We love these. They are heavy duty glass, look elegant, and we don't have to worry about them being too delicate. We use them over plates, metal cake stands, pottery cake stands--and they all look great. We pack them and take them to farmer's markets and so far, not a single one has broke (we were buying from a different supplier, we have 12 that we use). We find that they are far more durable than the plastic ones and look 100% better.

Glass is thick so there is a little distortion when viewing cupcakes inside. Ofcourse the upside to thick glass is that they are not as fragile. I own a bakery and use these to cover all of our goodies. So far they work great, no chips or problems. Have been using them daily for about a month. Very satisfied and will most likely purchase another set soon.

O gosh! These grab EVERYBODY'S attention. They are beautiful and heavy-duty. Prompt delivery! I would most definitely recommend this product! I just might get another order :)

I'm very happy I bought these. I could used several more sets because I'm using them out in the garden. After my butternut squash started to germinate in the greenhouse I set them out in the soil and covered each one with a cake dome. Rain, hail, wind can not damage them now and they are so heavy nothing will blow them over. And in the winter ill use them for entertaining!
