YAMATO 2520 (1/1500 scale Plastic model kit) Bandai Space Battleship Yamato [JAPAN]

Excellent design of the model and materials. Very easy to build.

I love this ship design, it is so cool, however on this kit they seriously skimed out on the details. If you want the 2520 Yamato though, this is the only model kit out there. (Really wish they would make a new model)For all of the guns its loaded with, theres nothing on the bottom half of each gun. Its like they only moded half of the turret, also the turrets only move left and right, no up and down motion for the gun barrels on the turrets... so theres really only one position all the guns can face.If you want this kit to really shine expect to spend a good amount of time doing extra work.The kit is super simple and easy to build so i did enjoy it.I did a little scribing but only took me about an hour or 2 to build. I still have some sanding to do before paint, but the pictures are pretty much it. It would be really easy to run LEDs and fiberoptics to really make it a nice display piece.All and all its a nice piece of history and it will look nice next to my other Yamato kits.As for the price, i got mine for 50 bucks, Personally its not worth over much more over that, i know its a vintage kit but anything over 65 or 70 dollars is kind of a rip off for what you actually get in my humble opinion.

The kit is very basic, but I knew that, as I had had it before. But it is a cool spaceship kit, which is what I wanted.

Nice detail, a very easy but neat model to build . Parts are very well molded and fit snugly together, makes for a relaxing time putting it together.

Its an ok model. I think the details could have been better. This model is not intended to be viewed from below since it has pieces that have a hollow bottom.

Lovely model - easy to build, no glue or paint need. Not too big or too small. Now standing on TV table.

以前レンタルビデオでアニメを見ました。新たな「ヤマト」の世界観が好きでした。欲を言えば、艦載戦闘機や地上探査車等もプラモデルの発売してほしかったです。もう一度キャストを入れ替えて、リメイクしてほしい作品です。

１０年以上プラモデルを作っていなかったのですが、ＹＡＭＡＴＯ２１９９のＴＶ放映もあり、宇宙戦艦ヤマトシリーズを購入してみました。実際にオリジナルを見ていないので良く分からないのですが、未来のヤマト風な感じは出ていますね。旧日本海軍の船が好きだったので、少し好みから外れていますけど。一番驚いたのは、基本はめ込み式のプラモデルという事でした。色々な意味で、良い味が出ていると思います。
