The design is an iron-on. The hat was folded in half in the packaging, putting a crease down the middle . Also the cap is of cheap quality. Parts of the cap look like it was unraveling. There was a string sticking out from under the iron-on and when I attempted to carefully remove it, I would’ve ruined it as the iron-on patch was raising, so I left it alone and decided to return it.

I will say my husband has a larger head than alot of men. But that being said this hat wasn't in the slightest adjustable to near what he needed. He LOVES MF Doom but can't wear it. I'd almost put it at child size. If the seller could somehow provide a second (more large) version of happily send it back however until then it's just a fixture above the fireplace. Not at all what I wanted for my husband :(
