Nobel Super Soda Candy 3.1oz (3 Pack)

Delicious candy that has a unique taste, and hilariously funky packaging. Each bag(got the 3 pack) had about 13-15 pieces of individually wrapped candy. The candy is a hard candy, light blue in color and covered in sour powder, about the size of a jawbreaker. The flavor doesn't tastes like a soda from the states. It's more subtle, and generally sweet. The only way I can explain the aftertaste is that it is similar to crunching on a Dum Dum pop, that slightly sweet and artificial taste comes up, but not bad really. As someone who eats sour things I would put this on the low end of sour, and that dissapates as soon as the outer dust gets wet. There are really tiny holes in the hard candy where the "shuwa shuwa" powder or fizzing powder comes out, doesn't have a detectable flavor other than sweet. Overall a great candy for that occassional sweet tooth, although if too many are consumed the top of your mouth may get alittle sore.

First time trying this candy. I love everything about this candy - Outside is sour but only for a few seconds, the fizzy middle part is probably my favorite, and the hard sphere has a unique flavor. Someone said it tastes like Ramune (the original drink), which is probably the closest to what I would describe it as.

I've been looking for new sucking candies, as I'm bored of Jolly Rancher and Lifesavers, and decided to give these a try. I knew when I ordered them that they had a sour coating on the outside; What I didn't know, was that it would be so freaking sour that I would have to spit out the candy. Have you ever seen a cat with thick strands of saliva hanging from its mouth after it's been given a bitter tasting medicine? I'm pretty sure that's what I looked like after I had one of these candies in my mouth for 2 seconds. After washing off the powder, I was able to tolerate having the candy in my mouth again. Although the coating is much too sour for me, I did enjoy the flavour of the candy itself, which I will describe as a mild [flat] lemon-lime. There's a small hole in the candy that allows a minute amount of fizzy powder to escape and the effervescence adds a bit of fun to the experience.In summation, if you love extremely sour/tart/bitter candies, the powder on these will not disappoint; However, it doesn't last very long. But, if that's not what you're looking for, I would suggest that you avoid these (unless you're willing to be slightly inconvenienceed by washing off the powder before eating them).

Had the Super Cola candy at an anime con a couple months back and enjoyed the heck out of it.The Super Soda reminds me of original ramune, with a very sweet bubblegum type of flavor. The candy under the powder is very heavy on the bubblegum flavor, so if you're not too sure about it at first, eat another piece!

Delicious! Just as I remember from being a kid.

I know it's crazy but I love this candy! It's like Zotz turned inside out...fuzzy sour on the outside and turns lightly sweet and mild as it wears on. If you love tart - these are for you!

These candies taste old as h e double hockey sticks.. disappointed
