Huge updates, even better performance!
I started a build in the H1 V1 and after numerous issues with cooling, unvolting the GPU/CPU, blue screen crashes along side hours of troubleshooting I returned the case. I though what a poor attempt at a incredible idea for a SFX case. Fast forward to now, H1V2 is a little taller, better ventilation and more powerful PSU (along with the small/minor fixes) this is what NZXT meant to put out the first time. Easy to build, cable management was more pleasant than I thought it would be and the added ventilation makes for a great gaming experience. Running a R7 5700x/3070ti combo with a Aorus B550I MoBo/32GB ram, this thing out performs many larger rigs I’ve built and gives up a fraction of the space. Will update the review with slight modding in the future but very impressed with the bounce back from NZXT.

Much Improved Over the Original
I had the original fire starter version (which I still loved to be honest minus the whole fire thing). The original was easy to build in but had moments of being a bit tight. This one addresses any difficult spots by expanding in all directions without making the footprint seem any bigger really. It fits my EVGA 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra without any issue. I did replace the 750W PSU that came with it even though it likely would have handled it fine. The PSU was easy to replace, I used the Cooler Master V850 SFX power supply and worked without a hitch. The perforations for airflow are really nice and allow for free air flow. Temperatures are really good. I am also using the AMD Ryzen R9-5900X.

A Little Tight But Beautiful When Done
Buy this case with the power supply, riser cable, and 140mm cooler. Everything fits this way and you'll have to use a 120mm cooler otherwise make your own 140mm because they are impossible to find as AIOs. The case is a tight fit but the engineers who designed it must all be a genesis, everything is spot-on. It's a classy case with all you may want available. Not for the novice but if you are up for an interesting and fulfilling challenge.UPDATE: They allow 324mm (12.75") for the GPU which accommodates most cards, but only 58mm (2 1/4") which accommodates very few. Be sure to check the cards width because the side panel won't go back on if it is wider than the 58mm - have to admit I learned this the hard way. bought a 3070ti and it was too wide - had to scale down to a 3060ti. I am just so use to worrying about a GPU length and the width has never been a problem, until now.

Beautiful case
Buying of this case was an experiment for me. I wanted to make my home PC much more compact, leaving some of the old hardware. Yes, I realized that the new case would be noisier, but now mobility is more important to me, and I didn’t want to buy a laptop. It's not the smallest case ever, first I wanted Fractal Design Ridge, but my videocard can't fit there. NZXT is bigger but looks pretty nice. Love it.To my surprise, the quality of the case and ease of assembly were excellent. My ASUS RTX 3090 ROG STRIX fit right in. I also was surprised, but NZXT power supply was enough and did not have to be changed. In addition, water cooling worked great on my Ryzen 9 3900x, temperatures in stress tests are fine. I switched the video card to quiet mode so that it would not make noise like an airplane. And I’m quite satisfied, everything works like a charm. In addition, the case is very beautiful and I admire it all the time.Just compare old and new cases 🤣

There’s a lot to like and not much to dislike
Overall a pretty good, if novel, case. If you’re really into the look & footprint, it’s probably better than you would expect. It was for me.Cons:- access to some fasteners is tight, e.g. the GPU case mount screws- especially with recent price-hike ($349 -> $399 at time of writing), the value just barely scrapes by… definitely not worth it for most people unless you really really need a small footprint.- would have liked space for 1 or two more fans. I’ve seen several mods of this case that can achieve that. I’m not asking for more fans, just more mounting areas- The joints for the access door to the power cables is really janky, not a solid connection, slips off inadvertently sometimes when being opened (otherwise it’s solid when closed)- Installing a large GPU can be slightly more difficult than a normal layout case- instruction manual is pretty lacking. Just got a single, map-style diagram. It’s not missing anything, necessarily, but a parts list & explanations would be helpful- proprietary pump connector is only controllable through proprietary NZXT Cam software (this isn’t too big a deal since the only real point would be to monitor the RPMs to make sure it’s still working).Neutrals:- Cooling is just okay, replaced with be quiet!Silent Wings 4 high speed 140mm, now cooling is way better- noise level of the provided NZXT fans is pretty annoying, but not unbearable, replaced with better ones- there’s like 2 spots to put some tiny fans for better cooling- some mods are available from 3rd parties to replace things like the panels with different designs/cooling considerations- 750W power supply is plenty for most use-cases. I have upgraded fans, a 3090, a 5800X3D, and 3 SSDs and have never had a problem. But I’d like to see a 1000W option available for the newer hardware that’s coming out.- Top (front) I/O is okay, would like to see one more USB-C even if it replaced the second USB-A.Pros:- as advertised, takes up a tiny amount of space- not as difficult to work with as I expected (I’ve opened it up several times after the initial build to tinker with it)- paint job is nice, materials are high quality. Did a scratch test on the inside of the back panel and it held up under reasonable pressure, just don’t go too crazy- glass front with barely visible NZXT logo is very nice imho- I really like the tool-less removable panels makes minor internal adjustments a breeze- Everything came packed well in the box (most stuff was inside the case itself which is a nice touch)- dust filters are magnetic and super easy to remove

Used case sold as new
Bought what was supposed to be a new NZXT H1 V2 white case. showed up in a damaged box with mutlple shipping labels. Opened it to find the thermal paste on the CPU cooler scraped as if it had been applied to a CPU and there was an AMD CPU box inside the case, yes, inside the case. Not just inside the box, it was stuffed inside the case. So, had to return it and this really messed up the build since the whole thing was planned around a mini-ITX MB.
