I have loved my KitchenAid Professional 6000 HD mixer since I bought it several years ago at Costco. The standard extra KitchenAid purchased-separately attachments all fit (pasta maker, meat grinder, etc.), but the narrower, deeper, tulip-shaped mixing bowl has been the bane of my existence because KitchenAid itself doesn’t even make or sell extra mixer attachments that came with the original equipment. When flexible edge mixer blade attachments became available from all sorts of manufacturers for the other models of KitchenAid mixers, the Professional 6000 HD model sold by Costco was left out … even KitchenAid couldn’t help. I have been looking for a flexible edge mixing blade for years, and I have returned many from my previous attempts to order a mixer blade that will fit. Today, I received this product from Amazon, and immediately ran to my mixer to see if it would fit. IT FITS! It was confusing when I ordered it, because it keeps saying that it only fits 5 quart capacity models, but the Professional 6000 HD is a 6 quart capacity model, and it clearly says this on the mixer itself. Nevertheless, I took a chance, and this is the one for you if you have a Pro 6000 series mixer. I am baking four loaves of bread as I write this, and can attest that the mixer blade is a perfect fit, and the flexible edge leaves no residue stuck on the sides of the mixing bowl. It saves me a great deal of time, because there is no need to continue stopping the mixture to scrape down the sides of the bowl to make sure everything is mixed evenly. The metal construction is sturdy and high-quality, and I couldn’t recommend this mixing paddle more! It’s perfect, and I finally have a product that I have been looking for, for years!

The blade appears well made, it attaches to the head of my mixer just as easily as my KitchenAid brand attachments, and the rubber spatula-like edge feels strong yet supple enough to reliably scrape the bowl clean. I attached the blade and put the bowl in place, it is a snug fit so where you leave the mixer head makes it easier (or more difficult) to get the bowl seated properly. I turned on the mixer and it brushes sides and bottom of bowl perfectly. Great product!

This is the 3rd time I'm ordering a similar beater for my Kitchenaid mixer. The first two broke when I was mixing cookies (both times) so I had decided not to order another one~ UNTIL I saw this one which is made of a stronger metal. I've made cookies and so far, it has held up! It makes mixing with the Kitchenaid so much nicer as I don't have to stop, lower the bowl, scrape it and raise it back up repeatedly. This is an all-in-one and I love it!
