Owl in Love
" Owl In Love " is a very enjoyable book, it was a pleasure to read, even for a 51 year old. I'm a wildlife rehabilitator and much information is included in this book about the life cycle of owls. Owls mate for life and many birds develop close emotional bonds. I just lost a young Purple Martin who was raised with a Bluebird of the same age, when the Purple Martin became ill, the young Bluebird caught & brought her crickets. The Bluebird would stand on my knee and wait for the opportunity to poke crickets into the Purple Martins mouth. There is often an emotional bond between even birds of different species. When the Purple Martin passed the Bluebird stood upon the open topped crate watching her friend. I only wish I could spread my wings and fly. Dianna Sue Bryant
