Amazon Essentials Men's Athletic-Fit Stretch Jean

I brought these because two of my current pairs of jeans decided to die at the same time.Also, jeans shopping is one of my least favourite activities, because there is just too much choice (skinny, super skinny,boot cut, comfort fit, long leg, short leg, dark dye etc etc) and sizes are almost guaranteed to be off in someway. This is not helped by my build which is short and stocky.So I decided to save myself all the aggravation and just buy online.Well the gamble paid off! I got a 34 waist and these fit perfectly, tight enough to not fall down, but loose enough to accommodate the aftermath of a big family meal without feeling uncomfortable. I think this maybe to do with the extra stretch in the material.In my opinion dark wash looks smarter than the traditional blue jeans and these do not disappoint.Overall, I was so pleased with these I brought a second pair as a back up. I just hope these still exist when I next have to run the Jean gauntlet.

Decent think materials,looks solid

Fits well, good material, loose around my thighs and I'm quite chunky. Expected them to be a firmer fit than they are. I had 40w 32l.

I was really surprised by the quality and fit of these when they arrived. The sizing was accurate compared with my Levi’s and I was really chuffed at finding a really nice pair of jeans at an affordable price. The big issue arose when I went to use the zip fly, as previous reviews have mentioned; the zip is too short and I had real difficulty releasing my chap from the snug confines of the well fitting jeans. The lack of stretch (in the denim that is) also added to the chore. Thankfully I was at home and not in a pub toilet where I would have looked a right one with my jeans shoved down over my hips to get at the little fella. Trying to “get it over the gate” usually results in a wet protest, so not an option for me in public loos.Amazon claim they are keen to listen to customers and produce good quality clothing. If they read this review and start using longer zips then they will absolutely nail it with these jeans. I would buy more if they did, but not if they don’t. Perhaps use a pair of Levi’s for a pattern guide?

Verified/checked with Wrangler and Levis zip fly, Amazon Essentials are one inch/25mm shorter. Annoying especially if you're in a hurry - a feeling of 'over' the gate rather than 'through' the gate - if you get my drift. If Amazon fixed short zip fly I'd say these compare favourably with big brands for quality of fabric, fit and finish.
