Bill Dance Hook Remover

This hook remover is awesome! I didn't even mean to buy it lol. I accidentally hit one click buy . This is something I would have never purchased but since it showed up I figured what the he'll I'll throw it in the boat. I was completely shocked at how well it works. If your a fisherman you should definitely buy one.

I never go fishing without this tool. I mostly use crank baits and treble hooks, and this tool quickly, easily, and safely (for both myself and the fish) removes the lure from the fish. I have successfully gotten my lure from the fish's gills and throat several times without a bloody mess. Extremely effective and convenient tool all bass fishers should have.

Seems to be welll made, but instructions are pretty non-existent. I can't figure out how to use this darn thing :-(

This is a bit smaller that I thought it was when I bought it. May that is how they are as I bought it as a gift for someone, but I thought it would be a bit bigger. It still works great though.

Not a good design. BUY the "Fishing Legend" hook remover. It is a straw-like device that works great! Best hook remover on the market. Less expensive and you get multiple units.

I bought the hook remover since 3 months but only had the chance to use it few days back. Well built and sturdy but from my experience not necessarily easy to use as you do not always get to see the hook to be able to catch it.I might look for another model easier to use

I struggled to use this product the first couple trips out and almost gave up on it. I use pliers and have generally been happy with them. However, the more I use the product the better I like it. For me, the key is to catch the hook shank with the remover and not let it grab too tight until I slide the tool down toward the bottom of the hook. Once I have it in place, hook removal is very easy and seems easier on the fish than my pliers. I can push down and pull in the correct direction to remove the hook. With my pliers I seem to wiggle around and twist more.I still think I will get better with it the more I use it, but I am very happy with the product at this point and am committed to using it more and more.

As a club tournament fisherman, it's extremely important to both unhook your fish quickly to save time and to safely bring your fish back alive to the weigh-in with as minimal stress to the fish as possible. Not only does this Bill Dance Hook Remover works better than any other I've tried, the soft cushioned palm and finger pads are comfortable and provide a firm non-slip grip. While I don't use the built-in fishing line cutter, I do appreciate the key stainless steel parts, which with a little care, should last for many years. This is a must-have tool in every true sport fisherman's tackle box.
