Drilling suggested
The material and red trim match my interior *perfectly* and it adds a lot of storage space to sacrifice slightly on the dept of the rear cupholder while also providing a place for your elbow to sit while driving.I said drilling suggested as the cupholder insert that it comes with works great, but it sits really high and pretty much any pressure on it will pop out the OEM cupholder itself making it not remotely secure or usable. As another user suggested, they mounted it directly and that's what I did as well. Remove the OEM cupholder insert (super easy if you already tried to use the product as intended) to generally level out the surface. Then, unscrew and open up the armrest. At the bottom of the inside of the armrest are some circles from the injection molding process. The two near the front line up pretty well with some flat and drillable spots between the OEM cupholder and parking brake. I drilled holes in their centers (use a bit that fits into the holes on the product and you'll be good) and put screws partway in so that their tips poked out the bottom. lining it up and tapping down hard on the screws let me mark the space behind the parking brake for drilling. Drilled holes, screwed it in, and put it all back together while it was connected. You will need a fairly perfectly sized screwdriver for the rear screws. I don't have one so I left them out for now but it's not hard to pull off.Due to the extra work involved and how useless the cupholder mount is, it would be a 3/5 but the relative ease of manual install and the quality match to the interior materials brings it back up to 4/5. I feel like if they just made a spacer that goes over the OEM cupholder instead of inside, and screws into the same spot I used, they could save money on material while also having a way better product. That would be a 5/5.

Its An Armrest
Like the other reviews, I chose to not use the cup holder attachment for this. However, I lost the small flat piece that you attach to that cup attachment, it slides through the bottom of the armrest itself. So Instead I put bolts through the armrest storage area and bolted it into my oem cup holder. I also added a tiny screw in the back. As you can tell in the pics, the first bolt I drilled I put too much pressure and cracked the armrest, but since you cant see that when driving, I dont care. Its also slightly off centered but again, hard to tell when driving so it doesnt matter to me. I did bolt it up a little too close to the ebrake, so if I pull the ebrake up with too much force, it pops a couple tabs out (not the whole piece) of the oem cupholder but I can pop it back in place in 2 sec. If it was 1/2 inch further back it would be better. Also, I sanded off the tiny grooves on the oem cupholder drink-holder rim to make it flat against the bottom of the armrest, can't see it though so its whatever. It sits at the perfect height for me (im 5'6) and have my seat 2 clicks from the lowest seat setting. The extra storage is a plus as well. This isnt the best or cleanest installation, I tend to be impatient when it comes to car parts, but the armrest works and looks good. I would definitely recommend this over paying $350 for an oem one.Its missing 1 star because the shipping box was full of Styrofoam bits that get everywhere and it was a huge pain to open.

Too tall & unstable, but... better than nothing
For reference, I have the 2015 CR-Z EX.PROS: Looks good & even has red stitching that matches my interior. Nice to have the extra storage.CONS: Sits too high even after removing the extra piece. There is a section of extra plastic under the storage compartment that's 1 & 3/4 inches tall. It was easy to remove, but I can't imagine why it's there. It would make the armrest unusable (unless you want your elbow at chest height). Anyway, I've removed that extra piece, but the arm position - while passable - still doesn't feel as natural as I would like. Admittedly, I'm short (5'6") plus I have the drivers seat in its lowest position, so this might work better for someone that's taller. The real problem though is that it's completely unstable after installing - it flops around REALLY easy. I inserted the bottom "cone" of the armrest into the cupholder between the car seats with no problem. However, after maybe a day or two of usage, it fell forward when I put my arm on it. It also wobbled around side-to-side. I put a little block of wood under the front of the unit at the back of the emergency brake to support it, & that helps to keep it from falling forward. As long as I'm gentle with it (putting my arm on it straight down & don't bump it on the side), it's not too bad. Unfortunately, when my wife is with me & we're both using it, it still keeps moving. I pulled the unit out & found the reason for all this. Actually the cup holder is now permanently stuck on the unit, so when I pulled it all out you can see there's just a big open space inside the console around the cup holder. That's why it can tip in any direction. Of course it would never do that with just a drink sitting in it. But with the weight of this unit plus putting your arm on it, it's just too much pressure & it collapses. I read a review on another site where someone else had the same problem. He solved it by screwing in four screws (two on each side, one above the other), into the cup/base. I'm not ready to go that far yet. I just purchased this car & even though it's six years old, it looks brand new.SHIPPING NOTE: My purchase shipped from China (instead of Amazon) & the tracking information left a lot to be desired. It started off OK, but then it sat for about two weeks without any movement. Then it was at an airport (no other info - China, USA?). Then later - without any further tracking info - it just showed up at my door. It worked out fine & was delivered within the "expected" date range, but made me nervous while I was waiting. I see now the info on the web page has changed, saying it ships from Amazon, so your experience should be different.SUMMARY: While this armrest is not what I hoped for, & I wouldn't recommend it for most other people, for me it's actually still better than nothing. So even if I had known all this before my purchase, I would still have bought it - considering the price. (Honda's version was about $300 when I last checked, plus installation - I wouldn't try doing that one myself.)

Looks Good
Fit perfectly, looked good, functioned as it should.

looks good but could fit better...
pushes securely into cup holder as designed, however then the whole cup holder just breaks its holding tabs pops out of the console. Needs a better design / addition for retaining the cup holder in the console.

It was easy to install but only thing sucks about it that usb charger does not work and it’s a drilling process but it looks good in my car

Adjustment needed
The armrest looks great and matches the interior. However the concept of mounting it as is won’t work . The good news is you can remove some parts that meant to be inserted to the cup holder and mount the armrest directly to the base . It’s a cheaper alternative to the Honda part which cost $300
