Mind Manipulation

Fascinating!!
This was the first book I ever read on the subject of mind manipulation and remains one of the best. The author also allows you to penetrate the mystique of the Ninja and what makes them so legendary.

A look into the Psychology of the Mind!
This book was not what I was expecting. I had initially thought this book would teach you how to manipulate anyone in an instant. Instead the book gives you the strategy of a ninja senin with explaining why in the process. Don't get me wrong. The information in this book about the subject is comprehensive and gives lots of anecdotal evidence and examples of different techniques that are used. But if you want this book to teach you the step by step techniques to the last detail of how to perform mind manipulation by one read, this is not the book. Content are just words without context. Tools are useless without a brain. ya de ya da. You get my drift.Obtaining any skill requires studying and practice. There is lots of new information introduced and I would probably need to read it again to receive the full benefit. This book does do a good job of protecting your 'mind castle' from manipulation ploys. The historical information in this book is a welcome surprise and even though it was not exactly what I had anticipated I'll still give it a 5 stars.

An interesting and informative book for anyone who is into the esoteric aspects of the martial arts.
I have been involved in the martial arts most of my life as well as Asian philosophy. I have read and reviewed numerous books on the actual physical techniques and the more esoteric aspects of “the way of the warrior.” I purchased this (Mind Manipulation: Ancient and modern Ninja Techniques by Dr. Ha Ha Lung and Christopher Prowant) book recently and just finished reading it.In any kind of combat there is a connection between the mind, body and spirit in which each must be developed to become a successful warrior. This book is focused on the development of the mindful elements of warfare. This 181 page text is organized into five detailed chapters. Chapter one (Masters of the game) gives on overview of the Asian mind, the ninja mind and other related factors. Chapter two (Understanding the mind) explains how the brain sees, the power of visualization, the power of believing and mastering the mind. Chapter three (Mastering others) covers mind control by the numbers, the five weaknesses, the eight relationships, the nine roles and several other topics. Chapter four (Secrets of Sennin) deals with undermining self-concept and identity, self-concept, the quest for identity, the 10 minds, shadow language and other subjects. The final chapter (The black science) covers the uses of superstition, hypnotism, way of the words-wizards, masterminds and black magicians and mind dancing. There is also a glossary and suggested reading material. This is not the kind of book you can rush through like a novel, but rather a book that needs to be studied in order to master the material. If you are into the martial arts and the art of war you should check out this interesting and informative book.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Use of the Monadnock Straight baton)

Information overkill
This book has some good information, however the way it tries to break the mindset of the enemies or targets into continuous categories based on eastern wisdom is a bit much and can be overwhelming. I believe if you want to learn the mindset of people in more of a fundamental way I would read some of Robert Greene's books. They are thick books and thorough but I believe you'll have more of an education on how the human mind works and what their weaknesses are. On top of that I would get a good book on hypnotic writing, hypnotic language and mentalism. I believe this book touched on things in order to have a 'ninja' mindset but I believe you have to understand the language of persuasion and things such as the history of human desire and fear in order to become adept at mind control. If you truly want to be in control no matter the mind of the other person, you must understand it is a journey to get there and you'll probably have to find a good core of about ten books to get you there.

Excellent Work on a Controversial Subject - 5 Stars for Dr. Haha Lung
Ok, I realize that this author, though a legitimate expert on this subject, is revealing techniques once kept secret amongst martial arts schools and for making them public he has angered more than a few…that said, what a service to the lay martial artist or beginning mind manipulator! This is guarded information that cuts to the core of combat situations - any true martial artists knows it is always better to fight with one's mind instead of one's fists - to be the Yin, but to know how to express the Yang principle...Let's face facts here, everything begins and ends with the mind, learning how to control one's mind and to extend that control or subtle manipulation to the minds of others is essential in a combat setting, and, unfortunately, it is becoming more and more essential in everyday social and work settings. Dr. Haha Lung is objective, well-researched, and concise in his rendering on this subject. I suggest this book and will be purchasing his other works for my growing martial arts and internal arts collections.
