Nice product design
I like the design. It utilizes the SUS spring property to create the spring latch without any extra component. That is smart. The black button can be push to the side to open and lock the blade.Utilize the 3 stamped plates to create this thin product. That is smart. It comes with a spare blade holder. It is also a smart design. Utilize the plastic tray to create spring beams to hold the blades.Overall, it is a very smart design.I like this thin knife to keep in my bag.

Not useful to keep on a keychain
I was looking for a box cutter I could keep on my keychain, and this one seemed small enough to work, but when I received it, it was a little larger than I expected and too heavy to keep on a keychain. Still, nothing wrong with it if you don't need to put it on a keychain.

Looks good but does not function well
Love the look and ultra slim shape, but the blade keeps extending when it is in my pocket with just my keys. The blade lock is very light to engage and easily unlocks in both the open and closed position. The blade lock is not strong enough to hold the blade in place when cutting a zip tie and it actually takes 2 hands to keep the blade locked out and to cut a heavy duty zip tie.

Decent tool with a couple of issues
I have a few different designs of this same tool from different makers. They all have good and bad.The good on this one:No sharp edges or protrusions to poke my hand.Comes with 5 extra blades.Lanyard attachment is in the right place (most other tools of this kind get that wrong). The neutral:1/4 inch driver slot would not take a 1/4 inch bit; I think it was cut to EXACTLY 1/4, and then when they plated the tool, the slot became just a bit too small.I was able to fix it in a short time with a small file. The bad:As some others noted, the mechanism that releases the blade is pretty easy to actuate with light pressure. When the mechanism is open, the blade slides in and out very freely. If you're not careful you could drop the blade right out of the tool onto the table or the ground.I can see that if you had this in your pocket, and sat down or bent your legs at just the right angle, or something in your pocket pressed on it, the blade might be released in your pocket. That could lead to an injury. I have NOT had this happen, but I do think the manufacturer should consider making the release mechanism a bit stiffer. To be very safe, maybe keep the tool in a leather slip or some sort of case, or carry it in a gear bag.Of course, you should always be careful with a tool that has a razor in it, in any case.If the release mechanism was a bit stiffer, and the 1/4-inch driver slot was slightly better formed, this would be a 4 or 5-star tool for me. As it is though, I have to give it a 3.

decent for the size
I didnt read the reviews until i received this utility knife, but once received i found the knife isntas bad as the reviews said. It is a small utility knife, you get what you pay for, etc, so one shouldexpect some shortcomings. I bought this knife for an edc bag and it fits this purpose. If you wanta utility knife to cut cardboard boxes all day or cut zip-ties, buy a full size one [my Kobalt hasnt failedme yet]. If you want a back-up utility knife to only use in a pinch, buy this one, it works for me.

Fit and finish could be better
Functionally knife is a five star. I knocked off two stars because it’s hard to hold - sharp edges. They should get a little more attention, chamfered or rounded over would be nice.

Too much blade play and lock seems dubious
The blade wobbles as there's no leaf spring or anything to prevent it from doing so. Additionally, I wouldn't trust the lock to not release the blade in my pocket, and if I were to grip it wrong it's liable to retract while I'm cutting. The problem is it doesn't require much force to actuate the lock, and it's placed on the edge, and actuating causes the blade to move freely, so if you were to have the knife upside down in your pocket and bump into something it's liable to just let the blade drop out...
