Absolutely love it. But one warning!
Absolutely love this. With the gyms being closed for the foreseeable future, I immediately jumped on here to find some good workout equipment. A co-worker purchased a power tower, but 1) all the good ones were sold out and 2) I didn’t have the space for it anyway.Enter this. This is actually BETTER for my needs, and—taking inspiration from the other reviewers on here—I made it look quite sexy in my garage if I do say so myself.ONE THING you need to be aware of, though: don’t assemble me the pull-up bar with the bolts going inward as (I think) the manual suggests. They stick out too far and will give you a good cut when you jump up to grab the bar if your grip is too wide. Thankfully, I just nicked my hand, but it would have been a lot worse. I just flipped the bolts around and will probably cover the bolts with Sugru and I’ll be set.I wrapped the pull-up bar with some tennis racket tape I had laying around to lessen the abrasion and it’s been perfect.I also ordered a pulley to hook into the middle of the bar, so I can do face-pulls, tricep pull-downs, etc., and I ordered gymnastics rings to hook to the eyelets for all the rest.All-in-all, super happy with it. Couldn’t have asked for a better setup.[Amazon won't let me add a photo right now...but if/once they do, I'll upload.] For those wondering, I used 2x12’s from Home Depot, cut them in the same way the other reviewer did, and stained them with Varathane Aged Barrel color.

This thing is solid!
Really love this setup. My wife has wanted a tower for a while but we didn't have the room. Found this and had it up quickly. I read previous reviews and purchased lag screws and some boards for a backstop but had to readjust my plans when I found I had 24 inch studs insted of 16s. I used a 1" board with a 1/2" sistered to the back. The 1/2" has cutouts in the back to provide room for carriage bolts to secure the hooks to the boards then I used 4 1/2" lags screws to attach the board to the studs. The actual construction of the system is really solid and well made. It took about 15 minutes to bolt eveything together. There are no step-by-step instructions included but they provide a blown-out parts diagram that shows bolt type and locations. Pretty intuituve.Using it is really comfortable. Once hooked in it doesn't move at all. Really solid when doing any workout include using straps. Unlike other similar items you don't feel the screws through the arm pads when doing ab work which is awesome. Definitely a lot of pros and can't think of any cons. We love it.

Solid Product, with one design flaw
The product is great - mounted it in my garage to have a station for pull ups / dips / ab workouts. However, there's one structural flaw that's causing the frame to bend inwards whenever I do wide pull ups. After a couple of pull up workouts, I started noticing that the frame wasn't looking straight, and upon further inspection, i noticed that the bar that connects the frame together (right behind the Merax logo padded area) isn't firm or thick enough at its mounting point to prevent the frame from bending inwards. Continuous use of the wide pull up bar (and more so if you're 200+lbs) will probably cause the frame to continue bending inwards, which isn't very reassuring when you're expecting the thing to hold up. Not sure if this issue is specific to the product I received, but beware if you're on the heavier side and planned on doing a lot of wide grip pull ups. Other than that, it works fantastic, and using the other functions isn't seeming to have any effect on the frame.

Good quality - fun to install
The product works great, but allow a weekend to set it up.As some other reviewers mentioned, make sure to reinforce the drywall with a 2” thick framing lumber. I bought a couple of 2in x 8ft x 8ft, cut each into two pieces and attached those four pieces to the drywall, using 6” long lag bolts. This assembly includes two U shaped hooks. I used 4” lag bolts to attach those and fastened with nuts on the rear. I made small cuts on the dry wall to make room for the nut.I went with a Varathene weathered gray premium fast dry stain for a nicer look. Consider installing the wood pieces from the bottom up.

Very Sturdy Product. Limited Hardware!
The product is very sturdy. Properly mounted, it is a rock. No flexing or any indication that it won't easily carry the weight specs. The product comes with concrete anchors only. So unless you are mounting it to a brick/concrete wall, you will be buying your own anchors. In my case, I was mounting it to a standard 16" on center frame wall. I chose to use a 2'x4' section of 3/4" ply to mount to the studs, then attach the bar hooks with 3" lag bolts to the same studs, through the plyboard. You could probably use thinner plyboard, but I wanted to be sure. I gave this product only 4 stars because I would have liked to have a choice for concrete mounting or non concrete mounting hardware.

Think twice if you plan on using for a punching bag as well
Many of the reviews are spot on if you plan on using it for pull-ups and exercises like that. However, it states you can attach a punching bag, but I do not recommend it. While yeah it does get in the way of pull ups, I just take it down and put it up as needed and it was only a 60lb bag. Problem is the quality of the eye screw used to hold them is very poor. Both have now broken on me over a couple months of use each leaving the screw part within in the bar and the eye piece broken off so I cant even replace them without drilling it out because the holes are plugged. One breaking I can say maybe I got a defective one, but both shows it is really poor quality hardware. Maybe getting better eye hooks at the hardware store will hold a heavy bag better, but I do not recommend this product for that purpose.
