Enjoyable
Good story and premiseProphesied girl wielding opposing elemental magic, uniquely so'Enemies' to loversComing of age journey, discovering her powers, love and identity along the waySo not a unique recipe, but still intrigued me enough to keep readingMy bug bear is always language & contemporary stuff creeping through the textBut no matter how much I've read this type of book, I still found these particular characters interesting enough to keep reading. Downside is I craved more depth and maturity with the characters, and it was almost there but not quite. Will see what next book has to offer

Just not very exciting
Vague spoilers, read at your own risk! This book wasn't bad, I just didn't find it very exciting and had to really drag myself through a big chunk of it which is a shame because I really wanted to like it. In all honesty, I have an unpopular aversion to fated mates so after the fated mate reveal pretty early on in the book, it was an uphill battle for the author from there. I didn't like either of the main characters, and I didn't feel their chemistry at all throughout the entire book. So, when the MMC stated he was falling in love with her I was floored because this man is apparently very old and he's throwing the L bomb around like that? On top of this, I have no idea of the physical age of the FMC but it was mentioned a few times that she's in her very early adult years. However, from her inner dialogue and the way that she acts (especially in the beginning and how she's pining for another boy) if the book hadn't have told me she was a young adult, I would have thought she was in her early teenage years. This didn't help the fated mates scenario at all, because it made any possible romance between them feel icky and this is possibly one of the only books I've ever read where I really didn't want the characters to have any romantic scenes. The book did begin to get slightly more entertaining towards the end and I do have a lot of questions that I want the answers to but I sadly just don't want them enough to read the next book in the series.

Enchanting!
I could not put this book down. It certainly had some very entertaining characters and was absolutely taken by Leap. Can't wait to read the second book.

entertaining book
It was good, kept me up until the morning in the effort to finish it in one go. Would have liked a bit more cohesiveness in the settings but it did serve well to move the plot along. Only negative that’s not really a negative is that it was a typical story. Nothing wowed. However I’m excited for the next book, I’m hoping to see some action finally between the ML and FL.

wow
Such an amazing book and interesting history. There’s this slow burn romance and there are all the new things the FMC is finding out about who she is and what she can do with it that’s slow in the beginning but the plot Damnnn amazing. Looking forward to the next one

Had all the potential
This book truly has the potential to be something great, but reads like an early draft rather than a finished book. The characters are wonderful but they do not get enough time to develop relationships or go through their feelings for it to read convincingly. The world building is almost nonexistent where it could have been something amazing.
