Green Hornet Omnibus Volume 1

Other than this item arriving with some big dents, it is a solid book for any fan of the character. Highly recommended for its content.

This compilation is a fun read and is faithful to the spirit of the original character. It is a great chance to see what a real fan could have done with a Green Hornet movie.For some reason all modern versions of the Hornet seem obliged to take it for granted that Britt Reid could only raise an ungrateful twit who is not self centered and shallow. Then the boy becomes the man. This version of the origin of the new hero finds a way to add more emotional depth to that spin and provides the best version of the transition from playboy to Hornet trope.Another nice twist is to provide a female verison of Kato and to give the Kato family a more noble and believeable purpose. We even get a plausible reason for Kato driving the Black Beauty. Trying to take the old racist subserviant image of the "faithful companion" is the most difficult issue with this character and this series does that extremely well.Also the script is not afraid to make some fun at its own expense. A great read for older fans and new fans as well.

Kevin Smith knocks it out of the park again with another comic and the art is really good, too!

Not in the best condition but the content is astound like the black beauty. The Green Hornets legacy continues! Collects 10 issue's from Kevin Smiths run on the comic.
