This was a good priced kit, but I would not use for dog collars. The webbing is thin- not much more stability than grosgrain ribbon. I was using for key fobs so this was not important. My sewing machine had no problems sewing through 2 layers. The weave is open enough that I could use pins and they glide right through without leaving any snags.

The strapping material is of very low quality. It's good enough for a yoga mat holder, but not for anything that must carry weight. The buckles are marginally better, but not outstanding.

I bought this because I needed a 1.25 inch buckle. In multiple places across this product description, it says 1.25 inches.I received it, and it is 1.5 inches. Useless to me. If you need a 1.25 inch buckle, it will be useless to you, too.
