Twisted Hearts (Love and Honor Duet Book 1)

I went into this book blind and I am so glad I did! I was hooked from the very moment I started to read it…I couldn’t put it down! I knew this was a duet so I had some idea that it would be ending in a cliffhanger. I want the second book now! Luckily we don’t have to wait to long! I loved Shawn and Addi! I can’t wait to get more of them! There was never a dull moment! This one had you guessing and wondering right along with the characters. All though this is an all new duet there are side characters from previous books. Their stories don’t need to be read to enjoy this one, but I could see how you might feel like you should know things about these characters that you don’t. If you like suspense elements to your romance you will definitely want to check this book out! It was a great one sit read! I absolutely recommend it.

I am a big fan of Stacey Lynn's books, her characters are very vivid, and relatable. I also enjoy when some of her characters from other books make an appearance. This story has all these touch points and more. It also has suspense, romance and a little bit of danger. This is is the story of Adrianna, a woman that comes from wealthy family, forced into marriage with a man that she does not like let alone love. With her mom assistance she leaves her wedding day and flees to the comforting arms a friend. While trying to make a new life she meet Shawn, retired police officer who now does security work. He is instantly attracted to her but she has a lot of balls to juggle and is trying to find her new path. Shawn however is persistent and the relationship that they form is quite lovely. But Adrianna is not free, someone is looking for her and won't stop until he finds her.

And that was the crux of it wasn’t it? Addi was running. From her (now-ex) fiancé. Her wedding. His family. Her family. It was a jumble of secrets and lies, and all she knew was she was in danger. Her well-being, her future. Even her life. A good friend would be a saviour but Shawn… Shawn may just save her life…I love this author’s words and they brought Addi and Shawn to real life. Addi’s fear, her hopes and dreams. Shawn’s attraction and need to help her. The way Addi wanted to trust him, though there was little left that she did. Shawn’s need to protect, his determination that she would be okay. How do you fall in love when you don’t even know what tomorrow, or the next minute, could bring? Well, they taught me how…With a cliff-hanger that left me on the edge of my seat, I know their story isn’t over. It couldn’t be…*I happily reviewed this story

Talk about intense!!! This story started out with Addi not being happy and technically being a runaway bride. Then she meets hot security ex-cop Shawn. The attraction between these two were off the chain but they never made a move lol. They were waiting for each other to make the move. Then it was found out the real reason why Addi left and Shawn made it his business to keep her safe 24 hours. Not only him but his friends and her new friends too. Then when they finally gave in to their chemistry holy wow. But threats were still around the corner and oh my the cliffhanger!!!! Need book 2!!!

Twisted Hearts is a fantastic start to a new duet from Stacey Lynn!The book kicks off with a runaway bride and the story doesn't slow down at all. Addi does not want to marry the man her family wants her too and meets Shawn at just the right time. I thought they had great chemistry and their relationship development was well done. Addi and Shawn are some of my favorite characters she has written.The plot flows nicely with suspense romance, and a cliffhanger that has me looking forward to book two!

**4.5 Stars**I went in to this book blind, because hello, it just is so much more fun that way, and I was blown away. From the beginning all the way until the last page, I was engrossed in the story and the characters and trying to figure out where the story was ultimately going to lead.Adrianna/Addi runs from her fiance who she is being forced into marrying, and tries to start over in a new place. With the help of one of her friends, she is able to get a place to live and new job, but it quickly becomes clear that she won't be able to move on so easily and her fiance and his family are not going to let her leave and stay away for long.Shawn used to be a police officer, but is now working for a private company doing security type work. Though he initially became a police officer to help people and he is now working with Adrianna in a security/bodyguard manner, it becomes clear quickly that there is so much more between them than just Shawn's job to keep her safe.I loved Shawn's protectiveness but also how sweet he was with Addi. I loved how Addi kept persevering despite everything going on in her life. Twisted Hearts offers suspense, mystery and intrigue, great characters, chemistry and romance and a cliffhanger that has me counting down the days for the second part of this duet. I cannot wait for more!!!

This is the first in a duet, and this story certainly starts with a bang. Adrianna / Addi is being forced to marry a dangerous man to protect her father, but on her wedding day she confides in her mom who helps her to run. Addi move hours away from her home with the help of friends, and that is where she meets Shawn, who is a police officer working at a security firm. There is an instant connection between them, and the chemistry is combustible and undeniable, and Shawn will do whatever he must to keep Addi safe and protected. This is a well written story which ends in a cliffhanger, and kept me on tenterhooks throughout, as well as having witty banter, emotions, twists, and love, which leads to an entertaining and all-consuming riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
