Q: Hi, I see the light claims 12 led bulbs, the box behind the light in the picture states 6 led bulbs. which one is correct?

There are 12 Bulbs. I am blind now because I counted while the light was on, but rest assured there are 12!

Q: How do put batteries in?

Unscrew the knob at the base of the light. Batteries go there.

Q: How many lumens? saying it has 12 "super bright" led lights does not tell how bright it is.

I have no idea how many lumens this has. But for the $$ - I can say I purchased two (one for one grill at my cottage and one for my grill at home) and they work great! The flexible arm allows you to position the light where it will do the most good.

Q: How many hours of use do you typically get from a set of batteries?

While I don't use this light every evening, it seems I can get practically a year out of the batteries. One of many advantages of LEDs. Works great.
