The laser construction feels somewhat heavy and pretty solid. The dot is also very nicely collimated. It burns pretty nice.The labelling on this laser states it is a Class 3 laser product with a max output of 50 watts(50,000mW) - which is false as any laser above 500mW is automatically a class 4 laser product (most dangerous classification) and no consumer handheld laser can output 50 watts of light.I did measure the output of my particular laser with a laser power meter - it maxed out just shy of 1.5 Watts(1,500mW) measuring ~1.420 Watts.The provided eye protection is awful - seems just only barely acceptable to protect your eyes against diffused laser light - I definitely would not trust being directly hit in the eye by the dot nor have stray reflections hit me from this laser and expect my vision to be safe with the provided eye protection. Word of advice with eye protection and lasers - if you see the beam through your eye protection, the protection is not suitable for that laser.Definitely invest in some high quality goggles that can protect against blue laser light as this provided eye protection is a bit cheap and quite ineffective for something as valuable as your vision for the laser power involved.If your eye gets hit directly by the dot without eye protection you will have PERMANENT AND IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR VISION INSTANTLY - Don't point this laser at people, animals or vehicles in any way for this EXACT reason(Also would be VERY illegal to do).These high power lasers are definitely fun when handled correctly - but as the title of this review suggests, it is potentially extremely dangerous to eyesight as well as a potential fire hazard - So i would not recommend that anyone younger than 18 years old should use this product without atleast a debrief and understanding on how dangerous Class 4 lasers such as this can be and VERY STRICT ADULT SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES OF USE.EDIT: I decided to drop my rating of this product from 5 stars to 3 stars as the endcap stopped making electrical contact with the batteries ~1 week into use and stopped working.To mitigate this issue I used some round nose pliers to unscrew the inside of the end cap, installed a plastic washer between the switch and metal housing and screwed the end cap back together. The laser now works once again - just be aware of this potential issue when purchasing this laser and acknowledge the risk of having a slightly faulty endcap like mine if you still wish to purchase this product, though an easy fix with the correct tools.Further safety side note: I recently tested the provided charger in this kit, it is TERRIBLE!!! It's so cheap that i cant even fit the provided batteries inside to charge them! Those kinds of cheap chargers tend to occasionally go POP!!! too!I use a micro usb powered smart universal lithium ion battery charger to charge all my batteries (16340's, 18650's ..eg all the way to 26650's) - my particular charger gives a digital LCD charge indicator that shows the charge on each cell(you can charge 2 cells at a time on an individual level) - cheaper chargers dont decriminate individual cell charge levels and charge them equally at the same time, thus posing potential firehazzards if one cell is less charged than the other and the more charged cell gets overcharged as a result.You can order plenty of these types of smart lithium ion chargers that i describe and use on Amazon for pretty good prices!

Works a treat in keeping Gulls away. thay used to wake me up early mornings not any moor works well at keeping Magpies away as well as thay don't like the blue dot on the ground or in the trees please make sure you the glasses to protect your eyes,

This lazer delivers a punch unlike others that make clames this one work's. Not a toy, extremely dangerous glasses not the best tryed pointing lazer at them and they melted luckily I have better quality ones, no instructions on the charger which is a bit cheap and I don't trust it. Was a little bit annoyed as small mount of glue? On lazer diode shows up when defocused but doesn't seam to lower power ( DO NOT THINK IT IS A TOY FOR KIDS OR PET PLAY)

The media could not be loaded.  Its always sketchy buying high power lasers online because they cant be listed as more than 5mw. But this one is atleast 1.5w burns through everything. *****THIS IS VERY COOL BUT NOT A TOY. LIGHT BURNS MY HAND AFTER A SECOND OF CONTACT**** will definitely destroy your eyes. Dont buy for a child and do not play with pets with it.

Simply item does not work, I have tried everything but item does not work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.
