I. AM. OBSESSED 🔥This book was just as amazing as the other two and had all the same elements that I loved... badass female heroines, banter and sexy AF possessive and dominant mafia men. This book was hilarious as well! I couldn't stop laughing half the time, the banter was just that good.I have to say it took me a while to warm up to Riley cause I loved Sloane so much and Riley kind of slanders her a bit but I quickly fell for her quick, off the tongue snapbacks. I have grown a little too obsessed with the captor/captive trope so I don't know what that says about me but this book nailed it! Mal is the perfect dominant, possessive, touch her and I'll kill you hero and I WAS HERE FOR IT!

I love a good mafia romance. My favorite contemporary romance genres are MC and Mafia. I like them gritty raw and intense. I made a mistake by not reading the positive reviews before buying this book. If I had read those reviews there were some trigger words used to describe the story that would have prevented me from purchasing this book. Words like humor, hilarious banter, fun. That is not a description I look for in a mafia book. I was taken in by the amazing cover and the description of Bratva assassin. This story and characters had none of the feels I expect in a mafia romance. I prefer mafia books written by writers similar to Cora Reilly and Catherine Wiltcher. I understand their writing may be too intense for some people. This is not in my opinion a serious mafia romance. If you are looking for your next Dante Santiago or Nino Falcone you won’t find him in this story. The cover deserves all the stars but as the saying goes “you can’t judge a book by the cover”. I struggled to finish but I was so disappointed it became a DNF.

5/5⭐'s don't get wrong. This book is good. It just wasn't as good as the first two books. I felt has tho it was missing something that the other two had. Idk what but it still a good read.

I loved all of these books and am looking forward to ordering more from this author!
