Roadmap for mature China-India ties
This book is brilliant. In its scope it is comprehensive. It examines the Indo-China ties from various vital prisms like the influence of global order on their bilateral relations, the strategic culture of both the nations, their interests, policies used for realising these interests, and finally, how both these nations can chart out a pathway which could help them to arrive at a mutually beneficial equilibrium. Its coverage of the Indo-China border dispute is holistic. The way the author has explained the background of the border dispute, the rationale behind the proposals made by the parties, and, about missed opportunities, is captivating. This book also examines the America-China ties. In this section, the author explains how post-2012 the Chinese foreign policy orientation has undergone a seachange under the leadership of XI. The book also touches on BRI, China's South Asian policy, and Chinese measures to protect its eastern border from American interference. On a whole, this books helps the reader to understand China and its strategic culture in a much better and deeper way. It also exposes the various underlying themes which are often missed while discussing on Indo-China ties.

Timely read!
The book is very well analysed and cogently written. It's a good addition to the spate of politico-strategic literature coming up these days on China and will be useful for China watchers and political analysts.

Book- PowershiftAuthor- Zorawar Daulet SinghSuggested reading age according to me- 16+ (As it has many facts which may not be every readers cup of tea/coffee)Review- Powershift is a book that gives us the present day scenarios with a detailed mentioning and comparisons of the past. Powershift not only covers India - China relations, it also tells us about how the role played by other countries has influenced the multipolar world. The book is divided into 3 parts, with heavy facts and rich historical and present day information. The book not only deals with what some may call "intellectual issues", it also asks common man Questions and then the description under the subheading is even more intriguing to read! One brief example from the book- .... "Ghost". I am sure I got you here dear reader.I would definitely recommend Powershift but keep this in mind that you would enjoy this more if you have a background in Political science/ History. At times the book gets very factual so that is why I stick to my words above, it would not be everyone's cup of tea. But I have a background in Political science and History with a love for Mystery, so this book is a #udishasaysread
