Arrived broken
When my crate arrived the two locking clamps were already broken in the box. Decided to keep the crate because the clamps are for keeping it closed and I have no intention of closing it as it will be used constantly. The crate itself is flimsy and I do not foresee it lasting more than a few months (if that). When it breaks (and it will) I will just look for a more expensive and stronger option.Update: So less than a month after receiving and using this cart I am returning it. The cart has literally started to fall apart.

Faulty Product and Replacement
Look elsewhere for a similar product. Both the original and replacement items were faulty in their handle mechanism. The handle does not extend to full length consistently. I purchased this to replace a similar product that had worked for several years without issue. When I first assembled it, the handle extended normally several times, but very shortly thereafter it ceased and would only extend partway, despite all my efforts. This forced me to stoop uncomfortably while pulling it. I returned it and asked for replacement. I just assembled the identical replacement. After extending it once or twice without issue, it also began to bind up and refuse to fully extend. There is nothing I can do to get it to consistently extend to full length. It binds up inside the plastic mechanism of the box and no amount of jiggling or pulling releases it. This product does not meet my expectations. Do not buy unless you want to take the chance of receiving a product that does not function as described.

Sturdy, good size, tall handle
My car is parked quite a walk from my apartment, so I needed something to carry groceries or other things back and forth. Wire shopping carts are cumbersome to handle and take up too much room both in the car and in the apartment. This folds flat and is easily stored. I knew I could count on a Safco product to be sturdy and well made. It is. I do have difficulty snapping and unsnapping the side clasps that keep the box from opening when not needed. (My hands are not as strong as they used to be.) Other than that I am really glad I bought it. Several neighbors remarked on it, and have asked where I got it.

A Lousy Cart
I ordered this in early November. As I have previously bought and used three of these carts (from Home Depot) and as this item looked the same, I stupidly threw away the packaging before trying out the cart. The cart is terrible. When open, the bottom of the cart is supposed to fit into tabs on the sides, but this doesn't happen with this cart: if one side fits the tabs, the other refuses to. Even when two of us try to close it so that both side fits into the tabs, it is impossible to get this to happen. The failure of the cart to open and engage properly weakens the entire structure and means the cart has no structural integrity.

You get what you pay for
I don't normally write negative reviews (there's enough of those out there). I felt like I had to share my experience on this one, though. I bought this about a month ago. I keep it in my vehicle most of the time - not rolling around, nestled nicely in the back seat. I've taken it out three times since I got it. The first time, I noticed that I couldn't get the handle to come up, but I didn't have much in it that time so I decided I would just tote it and look at it closer later. The second time, I got it out, I had more stuff in it and really didn't want to carry it. Try as I might, I could not get the handle to extend. I ended up lugging it inside my office where I spent the next 15 minutes trying to get the darn thing to work. It was during that time that I realized that the back panel had cracked about half-way down. I don't know if that has anything to do with the handle not working or not. Needless to say, I have been VERY disappointed with this purchase. I gave it two stars, because if you just want to sit it somewhere and store stuff in it, I guess it would be fine for that. It's not durable enough, or well-made enough to transport, though. I definitely wish I'd spent a little extra money and gotten a better quality box.

Great portable cart
I bought this to replace a smaller one that I literally wore out. I use this to carry groceries and other items from the car to my Mom who lives in a senior housing complex. I also use it to carry my groceries from the car into the house. This one is larger and sturdier than the previous one I had from a different company and it is more rugged when you pull it on the sidewalk or rocky terrain. I like how it folds up into the size of a briefcase and I keep it in the trunk of my car. It saves wear and tear on your arms and back.

Good Cart
Bought one for myself and one for someone else about a year ago. Good amount of space and the price of twenty five dollars apiece was more than fair. Please be aware though that I have tried many of these carts of the years and used them for heavy loads of a good amount of distance -- they don't last forever and eventually do break.

Disappointed
I was disappointed. The size is bigger than expected and it is less durable than the smaller one I had. The bottom of this bows when I put my purse and computer in it. No where near weight limit listed. The clamps fell off on one side the first couple of uses. I keep waiting for the bottom to collapse but it hasn't so far. If I had more in it I'm sure it would.

Great as a shopping cart!
I use it instead of shopping carts in every store I shop. Instead of using the store cart - often $$, which requires you to return the cart back (extra step), I take the Safco caddy with me. After I'm done shopping, I wheel it to my car, put the whole thing - caddy and all into the trunk, My car can fit two of these easily. At home, I take it out and wheel it to my apartment. BTW, it easily rides the steps, too. No carrying heavy bags, no going back and forth to the car. After I unpack the stuff at home, I fold it and put it back into car trunk ready for the next shopping. As opposed to the traditional shopping buggies which do not fold and do not fit into the trunks and are geared more towards strolling customers, this caddy is the best shopping solution for the car owners because it folds flat, handle is collapsible, takes very little room in the trunk. Plus, using it saves you multiple steps of loading and unloading the groceries. Your bones will thank you! This particular caddy is extremely sturdy and it' s heavier than the ones I had before (different manufacturer). Honestly, I cannot imagine my shopping without it!Last thing, it used to be easy to find those carts in the business section of all major office stores or department stores. Nowadays, they seem to be hard to find and they are much more expensive than they used to be.

The concept is excellent, but the one I received was defective
The concept is excellent, but the one I received was defective...the plastic prongs on the folding sides did not line up to click into the bottom when opened, thus leaving the cart unstable and likely to break when weight was put in it.I have returned this caddy for refund. The quality of workmanship overall does not warrant risking a replacement would be any better.I previously owned a similar caddy which served me well for years, but this one, now made in China, is not near the quality.

Very disappointing
I have purchased many of these folding caddies, this being the MOST expensive one. The side tab to keep the caddy folded up has broken off and it is now only useful in the open position, which is too big to fit into my trunk. I thought spending more would mean it was a better quality item. I have my original caddy purchased at London Drugs approximately 14 years ago which is fully intact. Guess I will be going back to LD to purchase my next one.

Does its job, but not very durable
It does its job of helping the groceries carrying home, and when you fold down it gets to a size of a briefcase + wheels. Easy to operate. However the build quality says it's never going to last longer. When I am folding / unfolding I am extra careful to not to break anything because that's the time it is most vulnerable. I actually broke a small piece of the first time I was trying to unfold it. When it is unfolded / ready to use, it feels more durable that I don't worry about the weight I put onto this but still I am hesitant that it would last longer.

Poor quality plastic
Terrible quality.Had to replace it after 1week, hoping it was just a one off bad quality. After 2 months of VERY mild use almost every tab is broken or fallen off. The product does not work anymore and it is out of the return period. EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY. DO NOT PURCHASE.
