This is an upcycled print printed on an old dictionary page. We take old books about to be destroyed and upcycle them in order to give them new life. The aging, slightly-yellowed page is carefully removed, and the image is printed directly on the recycled paper. The result is a unique and absolutely beautiful print suitable for framing. These prints are definite conversation-starters and look just gorgeous while hanging on the wall. The pages are approximately 8.5 x 11 in size, with a very slight variation. No two are exactly the same, but all will fit nicely in an 8.5 x 11 frame. You will not get the exact dictionary page shown in the image, but you will get a print from the same book. Every piece is original. ***Frame is not included****. You will receive just the print. These vintage book prints make awesome, unique gifts and are environmentally responsible. Great Gift For Anyone Who Loves Adventure!
I received this picture as a gift, and I was THRILLED with the quality of the piece! Not only is it unique in that it is printed on a page of a dictionary, but the art itself is high quality and truly majestic. You can really see the spark of adventure in Captain Pug's eye as he rides his narwhal steed into the uncharted isles of imagination. How did this unlikely pair team up? Where are they going? Why is the narwhal so happy? Will they leave a sea of casualties behind them? (From narwhal horn battles that YOU KNOW are taking place.) The colors are exquisite, and every pug-lover or narwhal-lover in your life will be flabbergasted with delight as they open this bad boy. It makes me forget all about how terrible 2020 has been.

This is really cute and exactly as described in the listing. My 8 year-old daughter is obsessed with Pugs AND Narwhals at the moment, so when I saw this, I knew I'd hit Christmas gift pay dirt. I can't wait to see her reaction when she opens it. (A note, however: Amazon needs to be more careful of its packaging if they're going to sell and distribute handmade works by artists. This arrived in a large yellow paper envelope with a light cardboard backer, sealed in a good quality plastic bag. My mail carrier is a beast and thank god didn't wreck this one, but did fold the envelope prior to putting it into the mailbox. It didn't crease, but easily could have. Amazon REALLY should spend a penny more and actually package this properly between cardboard sheets and mark it "Do not fold or bend" if they're going to send artwork any way other than in a proper box.)

AVAST ye pugs!
Last year when I was supposed to be shopping for friends, I bought myself the print of a corgi riding a shark. This year I detoured away from mother-in-law kitsch and treated myself to a pug riding a narwhal!High quality print with crisp lines, and comes in protective packaging that doesn't roll up your art like so many print places do.One caution: many of these are printed on dictionary pages, and some of them might have some kind of unfortunate words on display. My particular pug is on a page from the Gs... I'll let you just imagine or scrutinize the picture if you're curious lol.

This was the most amazing gift for my pug obsessed neighbor. I will be purchasing the mermaid pug next to have ready for her next gift. For the size, it fits perfectly in a diploma sized frame. I got a beautiful one at a craft store and it fits this print just right!

Does it get better than a pug riding a narwhal?
Captain Grumble the Sea Pug, I mean what more evidence do you need that this is an amazing product. Each one is done on a recycled dictionary page so no two prints are exactly the same. I love all that I’ve seen so far and plan on buying more for myself. I’ve purchased four for family and friends for Christmas. I just gave this one to my best friend who has already declared me the “winner of Christmas “. It’s only December 18th. That’s how awesome these are!
