A Great Non-Stick Pan That’s Free Of PFAS
My family has become very conscious about the amount of PFAS and similar chemicals that offer non-stick and waterproofing abilities to everything from frying pans to clothing. We wanted to retire our non-stick pans, and found that these ceramic-coated ones were not only highly rated by the leading consumer magazine, but they were very affordable. I bought this 12” pan first to see if it was all hype, or if they’d measure up in the real world.I was pleasantly surprised at how well it performed. It heated-up quickly and evenly. The design of the pan with the “squared” sides offered more usable area for cooking—with my previous pan, I could only cook one pancake at a time. This one lets me do two at a time—a real time saver. The non-stick ceramic coating is a dream—especially if you’re trying to cut down on fats and oils. You only need a little bit for most things, and the slippery surface really does the job. Eggs and omelettes just slip around like they’re on ice.Cleanup is super easy. Even though the manufacturer states that they’re dishwasher safe, they can be quickly cleaned in the sink with a dab of detergent and a sponge. Even cooked-on food releases easily. It feels very durable and substantial. I’m not babying it, but I only use plastic and silicone tools when cooking. I would be hesitant to use any sort of metal spatulas or similar tools with it.The manufacturer also states that they’re good for temperatures up to 600° F. I haven’t used it for anything higher than stovetop cooking on medium/high heat or for a quick trip of a few minutes under a 500° F broiler to finish an egg dish. I have a well-seasoned cast iron skillet that I use for high heat cooking like searing steaks and broiling, so I probably won’t be pushing this OXO gear to its thermal limits.I was so impressed with how this 12” pan worked after using it for over a month, I bought a second one, as well as the 10” & 8” set. The old non-stick pans with the PFAS coatings are headed to the recycling bins.

Good Cookin!
This is a great skillet. The sides are straight up -- not curved. Holds a lot of good cooking. It is oven safe as well. I have a 10 inch as well as the grill. Great quality and a breeze to clean.

Only good for a few weeks…see edit
Started off great. Everything just slid out of the pan effortlessly. Then slowly, I started noticing that my food was starting to stick. At the same time, brown patches started appearing in the bottom of the pan. They were small at first then grew with each use. After just a few weeks, the pan is no longer "non-stick" in most areas. I followed the cleaning instructions from day 1 and I can't believe this pan hasn't held up longer than it did. I thought I was spending more money for a better pan but I guess I was mistaken. I would not recommend this pan to anyone.Edit…after a short while, I noticed the pan seemed to be getting better, kind of like when cast iron gets “seasoned”. I’ve had this pan for over a year now and I couldn’t recommend it more.

Its a really nice non-stick pan.
I am swapping over from non-stick to stainless for most things, but wanted to have a non-stick skillet or two for eggs and such. This is a great non-stick pan. Its way better than either of my All-Clad 12" non-stick pans that I am replacing (I had two versions). It heats evenly and is super slick. It feels like quality, without feeling heavy or hard to move around. Really good handle - its a little shorter than some, but that is fine with me. The rough, non-skid bottom is great too.Only two issues - 1) a lid would be nice. I bought the Lodge lid 12" glass lid, and its really nice and fits perfectly. 2) sometimes I regret the very steep sides. There is more flat surface for cooking than most 12" pans, but if you want to toss or flip what you are cooking, its hard. Since a lot of people use non-stick for eggs, it may be an issue if you flip eggs over utensil-free - they kind of slam into the side of the pan instead.I plan to buy an 8" one too, but may go with the regular OXO one with the more gently sloping sides, so as to have some options.UPDATE - I wrote a new review with a photo after things started sticking after only four months. I did not remember that I had written this one. Dropped it down to one star.

Best nonstick
This is by far the BEST nonstick pan! I’ve used the super expensive ones but does not compare to this pan for a friction of the cost. Loved it so much I’ve bought for my girl friends and they love it too. Does not peel, smell from previous foods, and super easy to clean.

Doesn't stay non-stick for long - but a nice solid pan
I tried out this OXO to rid my cooking of chemicals in the traditional non-stick pans, and this one started off great. After a few weeks however the non-stick required heavier oiling to keep food from sticking; very similar to what you'd need for a traditional pan. I babied this thing, and it still lost the non-stick after a short time. If I was buying another, I'd just get a regular pan for cheaper.

So, I hadn't really loved a previous non-stick pan I used for breakfast every weekend...
...and I also wanted a skillet that was durable enough to take camping. I received this pan a couple of days ago and hand washed it immediately. This morning, I made my coffee and got the pan on the stove and pre-heated it, threw in a few slices of my favorite thick cut peppered bacon and then (when the bacon was done) fried a couple of eggs over medium. The bacon came out crisp but not overcooked and the eggs cooked perfectly with no sticking and it all cooked quickly and properly. This pan is a joy to use and has improved my breakfasts going forward. Can't wait to get it on my camp stove in Yosemite in a couple of months!Highly recommended!

Stops being nonstick really fast.
This pan is great, when you first get it. But within a few uses it loses all its nonstick properties. In fact, it becomes stickier than any other pan you own. It’s a shame too because the weight and shape of this pan show how well constructed it is and, during the few weeks it works, it does a great job searing, retaining heat, and fitting lots of food.

Perfect size for 4-person meal kits.
This pan is now my go-to for cooking HelloFresh meals. Had to previously cook things in batches, but no longer. This holds everything I typically cook in a meal kit for four in one pass.No stick, easy clean up. Found a matching lid on Amazon that fit like a glove. Lost one star because Oxo doesn’t offer a pan and lid bundle. Frying anything without a lid would be super messy.

Save your money.. try and find a real non stick pan
Eggs. Steak. Mushrooms. Vegetables. They all stick in they middle section of this pan. Never been in the dishwasher. Never had a hard utensil anywhere near it. It was the same from day 1.
