Q: Im making a 8inch 3 layer cake i wanted to know if it'll work for this size cake

Hello. I use it as a resin mold for crafts. The frames are all on the smaller side so they should fit on an 8" space without a problem but I think it will depend on what your overall design is and how you intend to lay them out.

Q: What is the inside dimension of the square frame?

The frames are very small I'd say about to buy 3 something like that if you're doing cakes and want it for fondant I would pass it up because the very detailed and it's very hard to get anything back out of the mold I'm not real pleased hope that helps you good luck
