A masterpiece , you will see the world in a different way after reading it.
I can't imagine how knowledgeable the author is, but I have seen many great ideas I learned from other books introduced in this book in a very logical and easy-to-understand way.Besides, this book could be a light but fruitful dictionary/history book for general problem-solving skills ( such as critical thinking, logical thinking process, and a system that evolves and seeks its goals dynamically based the feedback of the external environment)After reading this book, I see this world in a different way.If you are interested in management and problem-solving, this book is a masterpiece that can't be ignored.

Grand tour of Systems Thinking
I think this is a great book, its a tour of systems thinking, thoroughly cross referenced for those who want to find out more or dig deeper. I’ve just finished reading it and am going to start from the beginning again - it warrents another, careful, pass. Big takeaways from my first pass are: Cynefin Framework, Theory of Constraints, OODA and two superb pages on history of “management”

Scrapes the surface, but in a good way.
I read many of books referenced in this edition in my journey down the ‘systems thinking’ rabbit hole and this edition really does just summarise and scrape the surface of the topic (to be fair that is the admitted authors aim). I do however feel I am now closer to understanding how to apply systems thinking in a practical business manner!Hard to recommend because it really depends on when this is best read, as a primer, as a synthesis? I will say I enjoyed it on one level but I am still really waiting to see systems thinking applied in general management.

Not For Status Quo Defenders
This is only for people who challenge assumptions and seek to improve things. Defenders of the Status Quo need not read this.
