Old Timer Scout Knife
Some of the reviews I read gave this knife a poor rating but the knife I got was an extremely well make knife. All the parts fit together well and the knife had an excellent polish. Maybe all the knives are not of the quality of the one I received but mine was very well made. It was razor sharp and would slice paper out of the box. Excellent knife especially for this price.

Decent EDC Camper Knife
I have had a "Camper" type knife in my pocket for nearly 30 years. Always liked "Case" or other Made in USA but finally had to buy "Old Timer" as Case is NLA.Pleasantly surprised at overall quality when it arrived. Nicely sharp too. Zero issues with function. Only annoyance is the bail or hoop is quite loose, and if not paying attention you can snap the blade closed on the bail, getting a tiny nick. Don't do that anymore now!I totally recommend this knife for anyone seeking a scout type to cut things, poke things, open scan of beans and pop-a-top when done. I am very happy!‐---------April 2025. Still happy! BUT - unless you need it (and most don't) - do yourself a favor and REMOVE the bail as it WILL flip up when you close the blade and chip the edge. I could never get it to tighten up, should have removed it after that effort.

Nice Scout Knife
Good value Scout Camp Knife. Well made for the price. It's seen some moderate use now and the edge is holding up better than expected.

Knife reminds me of my youth, my first pocket knife just like my old Boyscout knife.

Once great knife company apparently now making garbage.
Schrade is no longer a quality brand. I have about a dozen Schrade pocket knives I’ve picked up over the years. They were always consistent and great quality for the price. I picked this oMe up for my eight year old for cub scouts and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. Rough unfinished outside. Loose ring will probably fall off soon and the metal used for the blades is total garbage. I can bend the awl with very little finger pressure. I will not be buying anymore Schrade knives.

Cheap things are not good, Good things are not cheap
I purchased this knife to replace one that was lost. Sure, it might be worth the money spent, but as I stated in the headline, cheap things are not good. I should have spent more money and would probably have purchased something worth the money. There are two things wrong with this product - it is cheaply made and the materials used are cheap. When I received the knife, the part that fell off in my pocket was already loose. The fact that it left the factory in that condition means there is no quality control at the Chinese factory. Additionally, the soft metal used for the blade means that after every time I use the knife it needs to be sharpened. As long as you know that this knife is worth far less than you paid for it, you won’t be disappointed. You get what you pay for.
