Queen Bee: Friends aren't always friendly

My daughter has adopted the title of Queen Bee, which inspired me to buy her the book. She tells me she loved it. Read it in a few days. She's 13.

My daughter enjoys reading so much and found this book very relatable and couldn’t put it down…on holiday she read it within a day! I read it after her and now understand why. She was very much like Scarlett as had to move schools and ‘compete’ for friendships. Since starting secondary school she’s found herself and feels much more confident and wise to friendships. She loved this read and recommends it. Suzy got this book just right with fabulous wording and theories. Thank you!

Bought this as a starter book to get my 10 year old to read more and spend less time on her phone. Happy to report it worked. For days her face was buried in the book. Even during the car rides back from school. She also enjoyed telling me about the story. She was sad when the book ended and has already asked for another one.

It’s rare that both myself and my daughter read the same book and enjoy it equally, but this book did just that. It instigated some interesting conversations about school, friendships and the difficulties that can arise, and I envisage referring to the book in the coming years to help my daughter navigate social politics. I highly recommend Queen Bee as a book for both daughters and parents to read and discuss together.

I bought this book for my 12 year old daughter because she was having friendship problems. She says the book is very relatable, the author got it just right. Also some wonderful friendship quotes in there that my daughter liked. She couldn’t stop reading it! Would recommend.

A great book, which wasn’t actually aimed at adults but sometimes I just like an easy book to read. As I love all Suzy Quinn’s book, I thought I would give it a go and wasn’t disappointed.
