These are great for cutting the neutrals on medium voltage cable. Some splices require a fairly precise and clean cut. These snips are excellent for cutting the flat straps nice and even to avoid sharp edges which could damage the splice body or the cable Semi-Con.

I work for a Low Voltage company installing Cat5e and 18/2 and Alarm wire. These snips work great! Very easy to use and fit well in your hand. Not like regular scissors where you put your fingers through the holes. It gets very in uncomfortable.
