Linksys AC1600 Wi-Fi Wireless Dual-Band + Linksys CM3008 High Speed DOCSIS 3.0 8x4 Cable Modem

I purchased a used item for a great price. I know some people are leery of used but I've never gotten a bad apple out of all the used items I've purchased on Amazon. My item was rated as Used, Very Good and frankly, I couldn't tell that it wasn't new.Package contained modem, router, and extender. The power adapters were not marked (and the instructions clearly state to be sure to use the correct power adapters) but it was easy enough to read the voltage on the adapter and match it to the hardware (i.e., adapter marked 12V 1A went to hardware with power input rating 12V 1A on the back, adapter marked 12V 3A went to hardware with power input rating 12V 3A on the back.)Setup didn't take too long, and Linksys made it easy to change my network name and password via the router settings to an easy-to-remember name and password for when family visits, instead of the defaults, which usually aren't so easy to remember. I immediately noticed an increase in Internet speed vs. my old modem/router combo. The range extender was also easy to set up.This was a GREAT deal for all three pieces - I had been looking at modem/router combos that cost much more.

Rating due to the fact that it only came with the router and wi-fi range extender, there was no modem as stated. I haven't used anything yet as I am hoping to get this resolved.

Less them 2 months old and this thing is starting to melt. I will post an update after talking with linkys. Worked great till today.Update ...linksys called me about the issue i am upgraded it to a 4 for now and it will be a 5 by the end i am sure. They have called a few times about it already and seem really concerned with it over heating. They asked for a few pics of it. Now they say they will replace it but i have to wait til monday to spwak with proper dept. But all in all really good customer service so far.

I got my linksys set in 2 days and set it up in about 15min or so it wasn't complicated. If you've ever set up your own wifi before this brings nothing new. I think most of the negative reviews this has is due to people not reading instructions.

This did not come with a modem as described. Very disappointed with paying more for a product others are selling for $30.00 less. I need internet for school so now I have to go buy a modem.
