Wildfire

I was so excited to for another of Chelle’s couples to be a part of the lifestyle. Add in the MC and I’m a sucker. Chelle Bliss is on fire with this series!

I really enjoyed the beginning of this novel, but somewhere in the middle the storyline fell short. The MC character went from being a likeable, cute and zany character to childish and a bit annoying. I really like the male lead, but even his character fell flat towards the end. Not to mention there really wasn’t a climax which took away from overall story and made the last half of the novel seem rushed. With all that being said, it wasn’t a terrible read, but could use some work shopping.

There was a time I was obsessed with MC romances. I reached a point where I felt I had read the best. I stopped because I was experiencing too many disappointments. I couldn’t find books that measured up to e.g. Motorcycle Man, Undeniable series, Nine Minutes trilogy, Preppy. Several others written in that time period. I recently thought I should step back into that world. I disliked the main female character in this book. She was beyond annoying, immature, and uninteresting. Absolutely no redeeming qualities. I read the Undeniable series many years ago and I still think of Eva Fox. She was a very young girl and a perfect MC character. I also was extremely taken with Ginny Lemmon in the Nine Minutes trilogy. She was also a very young girl when she was introduced to the club. Those two women will always have my heart. They set the bar high. Unforgettable characters. The book and the characters were not what I expect in a great MC romance. I understand if someone is new to this genre but I am not and I remain super critical of this genre. DNF. The cover gets 10 stars.

I was debating between three and four for this rating. I decided on the floor because I did enjoy the book and the story. For a motorcycle romance very light, like really light. I thought that the thing that was hair them apart would be something more aggressive and dangerous, but it wasn’t. That’s why I wasn’t a five. But overall a good story!

Another Gallo girl who thinks she knows it all - Tamara is a likeable girl but there are times you want to smack her upside the head. She goes to see Crow unannounced at the MC compound and he totally reject her. While she is sitting at the bar at the compound she meets Mammoth and hits it off with him, the compound then goes under lockdown with Tamara still there. Mammoth is assigned to protect her but was given strict instructions to not sleep with her. Well, I will leave it at that. Overall a good story, makes me want a Mammoth in my life.
