Great little craft project, plenty of tiles and grout. Instructions easy to follow. Very impressed with the outcome. Will order more in the future.

A nice little crafting kit for some relaxing creative time or for gifting to a friend, great for adults or children although a child is best given some supervision, but doing it together will be fun. Everything you need is included and it is simple, mindful crafting giving a satisfying end result of 2 mosaic coasters of your own design.

Love these coasters bought some before, the pattern in these was a bit harder - but that’s why I chose the one I did. They make a lovely sound when you put a mug on them - nice and solid.

Kits came nicely packaged with all parts inside as listed which was a good start.However The beads/ tiles were of different thicknesses which meant you couldn't make the design completely flat. There also seemed to be a disparity in the quantities given of each colour / design. I also found the adhesive layer on the tile to not be very adhesive which meant drafting the design was challenging (bear in mind this was being used by adults, never mind children).The next problem that presented was the grout. As advised on the packet, we added water to the instructed consistency. This was fiddly to do without knocking the placed tiles off or shifting the design due to the poor adhesive layer.The instructions also said the grout would have to wait until it was "touch dry" and then use the sponges to wipe off the grout covering the tiles. The grout did not dry despite leaving it for two days, but the little grout that had dried on top of the beads would absolutely not wipe off. In doing so, the design would fall off the tile itself.The grout was very sandy and coarse. Was not easily applied and certainly not easily removed.All in all, I had high hopes for this product due to its many positive reviews but unfortunately fell short of my expectations.Do not recommend.

It was an ok kit - great that it gives you an opportunity to arrange your own composition but there are issues as well. Firstly, the thickness of tiles differs by colour, so the completed surface turns out uneven (not great for coasters). Secondly, the quality of the grout is poor - the particles are too large (it looks like sand) and do not adhere too well. The final result was just ok in the end. Will not buy again.

This was a birthday present for my 9 year old daughter, and we did one coaster each - it does need a bit of supervision, she added too much water to the grout and that needed to be removed quickly. She really enjoyed it - it would be a good activity to do with a friend.

Overall we had a fun 2 days making this set up.As you can see in the final images, some of the tiles came away during the initial wash.There was a few hiccups along the way. We looked passed this as we got the impression it wouldn't hold up as a real coaster. Because we went into it with scepticism, we felt a littler less disappointed.Right from the offset, the set looks slick, but feels unfinished.• There is no glaze to hold the tiles in place.• The sand grout is water soluble. It will dissolve in water.• There are not enough tiles to be limitlessly expressive.It was therefore only a matter of time before it fell apart.The instructions are written. No pictures. Not great for a product aimed at kids.Simple enough to follow with some adult guidance.The problem however is there are not enough tile colours to design the coaster in their product images, no less. We had to change the design. This was very disappointing, especially when you've committed to their suggestions and proceeded to stick your tiles on the single-use sticky back plastic.There is barely enough grout between the two tiles. The sand is quite coarse so it needs to kept more like toothpaste in order for it to adhere between the tiles. Make both tiles together so that you can ensure you have enough grout to go around.We found that the included sponge is pretty much time-consuming and useless to clean the dried grout once the coaster is ready to be cleaned. We opted to just put it under the cold tap, left to just above trickle. It was cleaned this way in less than a minute.Worrying for our little one to see how easily her hard spun design could be ruined if the grout gets wet whilst washing, dishwasher, or a spill of a hot drink.In all, it was a fun, yet relatively shortlived set.As its a very unique set, creative, expressive and nostangically traditional in its craft, I would still give it 4 stars.
