Price is steep, lever has an issue
I wanted to give this 5 stars because it looks like a great upgrade but it has a few annoy issues. One, the V bearing has actually cut into my extruder gear and left two tracks behind. The lever does not pivot on its own shaft - it pivots on a screw that attaches to the motor. If you tighten up the plate then you will lock the lever in place. And last, it cost too much for what you get. It doesn't effect the immediate print quality and is pretty much just cosmetic.

Printing with it right now, so far, so good!
After initially receiving the WRONG PART (left hand vs. right hand), I was quickly shipped a replacement (thanks, Amazon!) and it's perfect. Installed in a few minutes - longest step was waiting for print head to heat up so I could remove filament from old extruder) - and went straight to printing. So far no issues, but will only know when I throw something with a lot of retractions at it if it resolved the problem I was having with the stock extruder. Will update if that's not the case! Reading over reviews, I see that I'm not the first to receive the wrong part. I actually placed a note in the return package; hopefully it won't just get dumped back into the on-hand stock, but if it does, the next recipient will quickly know what has happened.

Worked good on 2 Monoprice printers
Fit my Monoprice printers AOK and solved my aging plastic extruders problems. Nicely made. Easy install. The plastic parts on most MP extruder feeders wears out within a few months of use. These parts are metal replacements. The only difference in appearance is that the plastic ones are black while these are shiny metal. Oddly enough, this part sandwiched between the two black ends (fan and motor) looks really sharp like it was a design choice.Update:. I've now had these on my printers for several months longer than I had the plastic originals. They continue to hold filament firmly. The two of these I bought were well worth the cost. The printers these were installed on no longer have issues with gripping filament or jamming likethey did with the original plastic parts.Update July 2019:I still own one of the printers this was installed on. It still is goong strong without any signs of wear. Replacing the plastic extruder parts with these metal ones was one of the best mods I did for my Monoprice Maker Select Plus to give it good extruder longevity.

Conceptually fits well but with the Micro Swiss all metal hot end in place I had issue.
Printer: Monoprice Maker Select V2 with Micro Swiss all metal hot end.Mixed success. Build arm etc worked great but for some reason I had trouble fitting the plate without it causing issues to lining up with the hot end. For now have used the arm with the old plate and found no issue. Be aware you might face the same issues as me if you already have the hot end installed.Conceptually I love these guys and their product. Build quality is great.

Fixed my under extrusion issues. Wish Microswiss offered just lever and spring.
I had been plagued with under extrusion issues for months. I thought I would never get a good print out of my printer again. Then I noticed a tiny ball bearing fall out of my extruder lever. My pulley was blown. I purchased this kit as I wanted a new extrusion lever+pulley, as well as a new spring. Unfortunately when my kit arrived it had a backwards extrusion plate, I believe a left handed one, when wanhao i3s need a right handed one. Fortunately I didn't need that to start printing, AND microswiss sent me out a replacement (plus stickers) right away. Preferably i would've liked everything to go smoothly originally. But Microswiss has EXCELLENT customer service.

Poor surface finish
Really disappointed with surface finish on the relief cut. Probably a lemon, but definitely not the same quality as pictured for the item. Although Im not concerned that this will impact the funtionality of the product as there is no direct contact to that tool marked surface. Something like this really should have been caught by QC. The other include pieces appear to be fine.

Not quality machined
I've heard some great reviews on micro Swiss brand parts but on this I have to say it looks horrible. I'm sure it will probably work fine but it looks like a 2 year old machined it using a coarse file. Not impressed at all considering the price.

Better than stock
I bought this kit because the stock extruder on my Powerspec/Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus slipped all the time causing underextrusion and failed prints. This kit was a great improvement, but I still found myself reducing print speeds way too often because of slippage. It was insanely expensive, but I have now replaced the Micro Swiss kit with a Flexion extruder. The Flexion is way better once it's dialed in, but this Micro Swiss kit might be a better value for many people as long as slow print speeds are acceptable.

Excellent product, fits perfectly
Excellent product, fits perfectly, as long as you follow the instructions to the letter you wont have a problem installing this.Very happy with itI also didnt know your able to print flexible filaments with this upgrade as you can slide a piece of 4mm od ptfe in the bottom to support flexible filaments down the extruder path

Excellent quality.
Fitted like a dream, only two problems,1) getting the old one off2) opening the sealed packet the Micro-Swiss unit was in.Made a huge difference in feeding the filament, really pleased with it.

Fab upgrade
This has got to be one of the best upgrades yet for the Wanhao Duplicator i3 range. Simple to fit and easy to use and looks so much better than the stock part.

Well worth the upgrade
Awesome upgrade. Microswiss engineering is spot-on and these are a must have because the standard ones go soft and out of line over time.
