Used this case to replace my original Milwaukee battery pack case. It did take some fine tuning and cutting to get the internals to sit flush, but it was definitely worth the time instead of having to purchase a whole new battery pack, just because of a broken case.

If you use the batteries from your original Milwaukee battery it will require quite a bit of modification to make it work. I had to remove a lot of plastic with a dremel tool from the upper half of the case in order to make it work with my existing Milwaukee batteries and circuit board. It did work once I did that but it will require a lot of modification with a rotary tool.

What I like is saving about $120 per battery by building my own... HOWEVER... there are some matters to address. ONE: NO INSTRUCTIONS !!! (I was able to find a 45 second video way down in the description... just have to scroll for it). TWO: You will need to supply additional Nickle connection strips as the ones supplied do not fit on the two ends that connect to the control board. THREE: no temperature sensor. FOUR: You will need to supply and solder balance leads. FIVE: and this is BIG!!! does NOT support 'Rapid Charging (at least from the genuine Milwaukee Rapid Chargers I have). I suppose Askoteck assumes if you are building these batteries, you know what you are doing and have ALL the necessary supplies i.e. spot welders, soldering supplies, and sundries. Wasn't too difficult to assemble and the bottom line is it worked... just missing the 'rapid charging'. Again: if you have tools that require these batteries, you probably are like most of us and have at least a few... so rapid charging is not a deal breaker for me... but it would have been nice to know that ahead of ordering. Would I order again?... too early to say for certain; however, if they hold up as long as my original Milwaukee batteries... I'd say more than likely YES.

Not a direct fit for m18 had to modify to fit battery pack, just ordered for the top piece took a little modification to get it to fit my m18 battery pack

I purchased this to replace a broken case on my old 5.0ah Milwaukee battery. As other reviews have stated you do have to trim down some of the tabs inside the top of the case to make it fit, but this is easily done with a new razor blade. After trimming up the tabs I was able to put the case together with out any issue.This kit is actually supposed to be used to build a new battery, but I would not recommend using it to build your own, as the charging circuit board that they send is very low quality and nothing like the quality of the Milwaukee circuit board. I would also note that if you were to attempt to make your own battery you may want to order a roll of nickel to make your own strips, as they do not send you enough to even be able to attach to all of the batteries in the case.I would recommend this kit for the case but not for trying to make your own battery.

This product is great and there’s no need to take apart your original Milwaukee battery besides the cover the internals fit perfectly in the base only need to slightly modify the top by cutting the small tabs on the side or file them down and you original Milwaukee internals will fit with no problem have already done it 3 times.

Nowhere near close from battery to fit into the case, I tried cutting it with end nippers to make it work. I tried cutting it with the utility knife, oscillating tool even melting, some of the plastic out of the way .Nowhere near close for battery to fit into the case, I actually found a adapter Milwaukee tool to work with Bosch battery NO headache
