there are wires that need to be connected to something.
I never installed it because there are wires that need to be connected to something, but no instructions on how or what to connect them to.

Cute, but by no means easy
The base that screws into the ceiling has holes that DO NOT line up with traditional electrical boxes. Husband had to fenagle A LOT to install it. (Super long self tapping screws to screw directly to the top of the electrical box, had to drill the screw holes bigger, massive headache) my suggestion is to CHECK your box. If it has 2 holes, this will not work. Find something else.
