Continues to get on me
Big Wes Anderson fan and I liked this movie at first but wasn’t a favorite. The more I watch it the more I love it! Great soundtrack and just an enjoyable movie for me.

Nothing wrong
I personally like Wes Anderson movies and I like this one to its really good but it's a slow movie and I'm fine with it but not many people like slow movies, but I like the movie and love the art style on the DVD cover

Great movie despite critical indifference
A film that deals with the relationships of brothers, and of course as all Wes Anderson movies do, with dads, The Darjeeling Limited is a literal and figurative journey for the Whitman brothers struggling to deal with the death of their father. Through the brothers' interactions and a single flashback we learn a lot about the family's dynamic and the boys spend the rest of the film on brother Francis' (Owen Wilson) spiritual journey trying to fill the void left gaping by their father's death, forcing them to deal with their own issues with eachother. Although this was one of Anderson's worst reviewed films, I believe it to be one of his best. If not for the "on the nose" symbolism of their fathers baggage, this would be an almost perfect film, in my opinion.

You know what they say about the Criterion Collection...
She's a cruel mistress, but you've got to love her.I love this edition of The Darjeeling Limited. It's everything one can hope for. Almost all of the CC editions of Anderson's films are superior to the regular ones. So many extras and all the bits of art (remember The Royal Tenenbaums?)! Personally, I really like to have those extras, though I know some people that are quite content just to view the film, and that's just as well. It's all a matter of preference. As for the film itself, I quite liked it. Great product for a fan of the film!

Really good
I'm a sucker for Wes Anderson's bizarre genre of "White Upper-Middle-Class Fairy Tales" and this is no exception, and as always Criterion does a fantastic job with the film.

The three have to deal the death of their father and deal with disappointment with their mother
I adore all of Wes Anderson’s films, but this is the winner. This is a story of three brothers who have to learn to stick together after getting kicked off a train in India. The three have to deal the death of their father and deal with disappointment with their mother. It has all of Wes Anderson’s trademarks; funny characters, great dialogue and touching scenes where characters grow. It touches the Heart. It is one the best comedic dramas I have ever seen

Wes Anderson film
Odd, charming, intriguing - everything that a Wes Anderson film hints at ... this edition DOS include the "prequel "
