i attempted to have my hair locked with this product this weekend...i have very curly hair, not too soft, just past shoulder length...I've never put a wax in my hair so I have no idea if this is normal but it turned my medium brown hair a weird grayish color and it was extremely sticky (gross) i washed it out the following day (a hairstylist did and had to shampoo 5 times to remove all of the wax) the smell was not dreadful, but by no means pleasant

I've purchased Knotty Boy dread wax several times now. It's a great product for starting locks. It's also good for locking maintenance when you've let your new growth get a little long and out of control. Knowing how to use the wax and when is very important. Soon after purchasing the wax I did more research and decided to take the more natural route. I did use the product but it just didn't work for me. I believe it was a combination of the lack of patience I had along with the extra coating of dog hair that my dreads quickly acquired. I gave this product two stars because it still works as a great candle!

Worked great in his dreads. Smell is okay for me, he likes it. Helped him get his dreads started and maintained.

We've always used this brand of wax for my mans dreads and it never fails. Ordered it, wasnt suppose to be here for 3 days and it was here in not even one day!!

If you have dreads you know some products work and others just suck. Any of the Knotty Boy products I have ever tried are amaxing!! Maybe a little more money, but so worth it.
