Purchased this book to add to the collection, but it is so great that I decided to make it my primary book. Papers have great quality, easy to get used to, and leather has a warmth to it and feels great to hold.

I purchased this Bike directly from the publisher (Tyndale Press) and not from Amazon.First, some good things about this Bible... Very nice, compact size for being 12 point font. The print is readable enough. It has pretty thin paper and medium dark print with some ghosting, but tolerable to me. The illustrations and maps in the back are pretty useful. Overall an easy Bible to hold, carry, and read in bed or elsewhere.Now for a few negative points... First, no cross references or concordance, and the Filament app doesn't contain them either. So, this is not what I would call a stand-alone Bible. Next, the Bible "notes" only consist of some synonyms for a few of the archaic words in the King James. Not much use to me personally. The "verse finder" in the back is very limited in scope and depth... Probably geared towards younger believers, which, of course, there is nothing wrong with that. The Filament app study materials are OK but again overall fairly general in scope and shallow in depth. The use of the cell phone camera is kind of a joke as most of the time it mis-reads the verse number. It's easier to just manually turn to the passage in the app. There are far better Bible apps out there. I use Bible Discovery, which has a wealth of resources linked to the the built-in Bible. Also has Bible audio. Finally, the leather cover of this Bible is pretty stiff, so if you want a soft leather feel this isn't it. I actually don't mind the stiff feel, so this isn't a complaint, just informational.Anyway, to some it up... If you just want a good, giant print KJV Bible that is lightweight and easy to handle for reading purposes this is a pretty good choice. Also, this would make a pretty good beginners Bible with the "study notes" to help with the KJV text. If you want a Bible with cross references, you will want to look elsewhere.
