No, the bristles are made of rubber and will not harm your floor.

Q: does this work on a shaggy rug?

Full transparency, I don’t have a shaggy rug. My only concern would be that this pulls rug fibers along with the pet hair. I don’t mind this so much on my tightly tufted area, rugs, but I could see where it would make a shag rug too fluffy. That being said, if you have other floor spaces, and a pet, i 100% recommend this broom!

Q: Does this broom clean between hardwood floor cracks! Im trying to restore my kitchen floor after a complete gut and sheetrock dust
