Campy Veloce Chain
Rebuilt a 30-year old Colnago frame with more or less present-day Campagnolo components. Needed a chain to make it go. Wanted to stay within budgetary comstraints. The Campy Veloce Chain is (a) well-reviewed and (b) as affordable as many mid-range 10-speed chains. Using a Wipperman Conex link made the installation a snap, literally, once a determination concerning chain length was achieved.Operation of the chain is largely silent and, in my opinion, cannot be faulted. It follows the pins and ramps on the chainrings without complaint. Once the rear derailleur is sorted out, the chain clicks up and down the cassette firmly and without hesitation. Have a bit over one hundred miles logged. May update if anything changes.

Great for 10 Speed campy systems.
Chains are as advertised. Work well with a campy system. You can get more expensive campy chains, but they are mainly just a little lighter, don't think they'll really last any longer if properly maintained. Just don't try to use on an 11 speed system, as they are too wide.

Perfect with Veloce 10S Cassette, New Joining system From Campy Doesn't Require Special Tool.
Like the rest of the Campy Veloce equipment this chain works flawlessly. The 10 sp cassette that is currently offered is called "Ultra Drive" I believe, which is a geometry meant to work specifically with the campy 10 sp UD chain.Circa 2014 the end link for joining is not like the previous style: It uses a pin system somewhat similar to Shimano's to connect the two end links. If you get a chain that has the older system of a master link it may not be an Ultra Drive or "UD" chain. I'm not sure precisely when the changeover was made, but in the past I've had Campy 10sp chains that use a master link so both systems are out there. Check and ask to be sure you get the version you want. The Campy UD chain MUST be shortened ONLY from one particular end, there is a tag on the opposite end that warns you of this. Leave that tag in place to remind you until you are ready to join the ends. Then the end links are joined with a two part pin set. You insert a little guide (supplied with the chain) from the outer side of the chain(away from the bike frame) and press in the joining pin (also supplied and a use-once-only item)from the bike-frame side. Once the pin is in place the guide part is removed using just your fingers and either tossed out, or if you are like me, carefully set aside (squirreled away?) with the removed links. Like Shimano you are not supposed to re-use the same link or pin to remove and replace the chain. Campy sells a special little three link service kit for this. I'm not convinced this use-once-only system is a true improvement, but it is what it is and it does work perfectly well. Campy says its stronger, but I've never had an issue with a master link failure. The system claims it requires a special Campagnolo chain tool to accomplish properly, but I got by just fine with my standard one. The Campy chain tool has a system that centers the tool's drive pin onto the chain's joint pin quite precisely, I used common sense and great care to accomplish the same.
