From a man's perspective ...
I'm obviously not a Mom, but as an adult man, I sure wish my Mom had had access to the wisdom Kristine Carlson offers forth ... I would have been so much better prepared for life. Children are also beneficiaries of this guidance. Obstetricians may want to tape the first sonogram into a gift copy of this book for each new Mom. Dads or kids may want to buy this as a Mother's Day gift, for truly if a Mom takes these life practices to heart, she will step off the frantic treadmill of modern mothering and find inner quiet and joy. Kristine Carlson has an authentic, sometimes raw, always compassionate voice, one aided by useful metaphors; a voice that is wonderfully accessible and relevant to 21st century Moms

Little nuggets of wisdom!
I really like this book. Have not read it entirely, but what I have read, I like. I am not big into Don't Sweat the Small Stuff books, but thought this one sounded good, as I've been stressing a little more than usual with a teenager, a 10 year old, a almost 3 year old and one on the way in my house!!! I had never heard of Kristine Carlson, but I really like her. She seems very down to earth and everything I've read so far, I can relate to and gain wisdom from.
