Disappointed.
I should have noticed that these are 201 stainless steel before I purchased them. I received them today and put them in the dishwasher. As I was wiping the excess water off to put them away, I noticed the horrible metal/tin odor with each one. Then I noticed the black residue on my dish towel. Not sure how I feel about putting food in these containers and sending them with my kids for their lunch at school this next week.

They can be reheated on a propane stove!
I live full time in an RV with no microwave, so figuring out how to reheat leftovers was a big concern of mine. I didn't want to dirty a lot of dishes; I didn't want to have a lot of different Tupperware containers and such that I'd have to transfer items from one to another, etc. I needed a good way to:a) Store leftovers;b) Reheat leftovers in the same container; andc) Eat the leftovers out of that container.(Dirtying lots of dishes by transferring food from one container to another is a great way to make an RVer crazy!)I was really surprised by how many metal storage containers out there were not supposed to be put onto a propane stove and heated up. It took me FOR.EV.ER of searching through Amazon to find these, and even then, I emailed the company to triple check that it was okay to put these onto a propane burner and heat them up. They assured me that they'd work great, and guess what? They absolutely have been awesome. No warping, no staining of the metal, no problems whatsoever. They look brand-new, honestly, even though I've used them time and again over the past six months.My one and only complaint is that I wish they had a larger size for sale. The smallest size is pretty tiny and not super useful; I've found a couple of things to use that size for, but honestly, it's just too small to be really practical. If they would offer another size – one size larger than what they have right now – I'd be in heaven. :)If you want a storage container solution that can be reheated on a gas or propane stove, this is hands down the best solution out there (that I've found anyway!) Great job, BFF System!

Flimsy tops
Within 1 week of use by my 9 yo daughter for her school lunch, one of the clips on the lid broke. I have a strong feeling the other clips will soon break, too. If you are looking for a robust container that will last the school year, you should look elsewhere.

Horrible ! Please stay away .
I rarely write any review but had to do this time .Horrible product ! The lids are not sized correct . You have to rotate the lids so many times to get a seal . It is hard to get even two out of four lid locks to click ! I ended up using it as a storage container. I can’t use it as a pack and go ! That was the whole point of buying this expensive set !

I've been looking a long time for a good, strong, LEAKPROOF container that will last. This is it, I've finally found it. I've tried others including plastic ones, but eventually the plastic gets stained (oil, tomato sauce etc), begins peeling from reheating foods. NOT THIS ONE. Perfect box for my lunch or breakfast to take it to work!

nice bowls/ boxes, but lid clips will break (quality is poor), tried two times, once with seller provided 70% off coupon (still the product is not good unless you can manage without lids) !!!good response from the seller though!

the stele containers are good but the lids are not that strong
the stele containers are good but the lids are not that strong .My daughter used to take it to school and then came home with a broken snap of one of the lids..it accidentally dropped on the floor once and the snap came off..and thats not uncommon with kids..even the other snaps of other lids are half broken..i still use the containers as bowls though at home since i am tryimg to use less of plastic ..

Durable and a healthier alternative to plastic
Love these! No issues so far, after many months of regular use. We are trying to get away from using plastic containers for storage of leftovers and as lunch containers, due to health concerns, so these stainless steel containers are a big help for us to make this shift.
