Understand that a light with this globe on it will not illuminate the area. It is purely for decorative effect and that everyone who sees it will say OMG! Try using different lightbulb types in it.

This is a pretty accent pendant and a fun piece at a good price. If you need more than ambient light, you’ll want to choose one of the globes with an open bottom. My photos show an ordinary 60watt equivalent halogen bulb for folks concerned they’d need to get a special bulb—no, you won’t. The colors all pop, as the underside view shows best. (My lack of photography skills can’t pick up what the eye CAN see). I painted it with heat-safe paint because a black fixture would have been too dark for my purpose. I didn’t have any difficulty with the installation or getting it to lay flat to the ceiling. It sure makes doing dishes more interesting!

Really neat light. I have an LED bulb that is the equivalent of 60watts. It is not a bright light but we have a few lamps in the room so it is fine. It is from china so the metal is soft and the screws were crooked but the light is so cool i can overlook a lot.

Love the fun quirkiness of these pendants. I took a chance that my husband would dislike them, but he LOVES them! They are a FANTASTIC addition to our kitchen island. We used warm white bulbs so they are not as harsh as when using daylight bulbs.
