Q: Will they work on a 2009 Subaru Outback?

they will work on whatever you hook them up to. as long as they have power they will work. i put them on a bike.

Q: what is the exact model name? According to the Fiamm website, there are many different versions of am80s such as am80sx am80sx/l am80s etc.

The AM80SX is actually their newest horn, which looks almost like the AM80S but the back looks a bit different. I believe it has three raised indentations in the back along with a much bigger looking tuning screw. The L and H horns basically just stand for standalone low notes and high notes respectively. This product here would just be the AM80S set which includes both low and high note horns. But basically you can buy standalone notes as well if you prefer just having one low or high note on your vehicle or if one horn is already bad and you just need the one to replace it with. But as for the AM80SX, I can't really tell you much about it yet because I haven't gotten a chance to try it myself, seems a bit hard to get right now unless you go on a foreign marketplace. They're very slowly working their way onto eBay, but even then it's rare to find them yet.

Q: can i use my stock connectors from my mini cooper with these ?

For anyone replacing an existing FIAMM AM80S horn that was fitted as OEM by the vehicle manufacturer, here's a neat trick. Keep your old/non-working horn. The electrical connector is removable! FIAMM in their infinite wisdom created a system whereby the same horn model ie. AM80S can be fitted with different connectors for different manufacturers using the same horn as OEM equipment. For instance my Land Rover uses an AM80S pair- when one of them went I replaced it with a "generic" FIAMM AM80S that had male spade connectors. I simply removed the connector from the Land Rover part and fitted it to the generic part after removing its spade terminals. Job done!

Replacing original horns? To match exactly. You need to goto the dealer parts department for the make of that vehicle. And have them look it up on their oem parts computer.
