Great, quick read to really put things in to perspective...
Purchased another copy after I gave the first to another person because I loved what I had read enough. The insight and views expressed in this book make sharing the gospel very easy and comfortable for anyone. It really opens a world of possibilities for sharing what you hold true and close with friends and family members without feeling like you're being overbearing like so many people worry about.

Be the sort of person that God can trust with missionary opportunities and He will give you some.
It's kind of a miracle. We had a meeting in our branch recently to try and figure out what to do to become better missionaries. After one hour of talking, the thing we all more or less decided was that none of us had any clue as to what to do better. As we thoguht about it, we didn't really know anyone in the entire stake who knew either. Not long thereafter, a missionary suggested that I read this book. I wasn't planning on it. I'm not a big fan of church books that aren't authorized by the church. They mostly just seem to be reiterations of concepts I have already studied. A couple of days later though, I was looking at my bookshelf and saw that I already owned it. Someone had given it to me and I had forgotten that I owned it. So, I took this to be a small miracle and decided to read it. It is wonderful. It has all of the information a unit needs in order to see an increase in success. For the most part, the advice is all pretty commonsense and focused on just living a Christian life openly and showing the people around you an increase in love...being the sort of person God will trust with missionary opportunities. I highly recommend this book...and highly recommending books is something I just don't do that often.

Mind-blowing. Take your excuses and put them to rest.
Christensen blows apart any reason/excuse you have to avoid member missionary work. He breaks it down to the finest detail and then gives real world examples to back his theories. I look forward to this book changing my life and how I do my member missionary work. The thoughts and ideas here really hit you right between the eyes. For example, Bro. Christensen states that we should do member missionary work at our "work" and not fall into the deception that Satan has cast upon us that it is wrong or inappropriate to do missionary work at our place of employment. I have gained confidence to not be deceived and now have a game plan on how to appropriately discuss the gospel at work.

Not an all-encompassing guide, but a fantastic starting point to figure out what everyday missionary tactics work for you personally. My favorite parts where where he suggests using Mormon words/phrases in every day situations to open up conversations, as well as asking "why are you curious about the church" to know exactly what information you should share with them.

Inspiring
This is a great book and really inspires the reader to consider it's message. I felt like the reading was tough though because you just run into story after story from Brother Christensen and his family. Great to pick up and be inspired, but probably not a read straight through type of book.

Easy to be a Missionary
I really didn’t want to read The Power of Everyday Missionaries by Clayton M. Christensen because I am just really not into doing missionary work. They asked everyone in our ward to read it a few months ago and I put it off and put it off. I finally read it because the Relief Society is planning to start a book club and this is the first book chosen. After all that resisting, I’m glad I read it. It gives good tips for sharing the Gospel with absolutely no expectation of baptism – just sharing to share, because we love it. The book covers sharing with friends, sharing on-line, and more. Lots of great stories (some that led to baptism, some that didn’t – but all are successes – because just sharing is a success) are included. My only problem with the book is how the author laid it out like an academic paper with the telling what you are going to tell them, telling them, telling them what you told them pattern. I found the intro and sum up both to be rather irritating and felt they most definitely could have been dispensed with. It’s a quick read and I do agree with my ward leaders… it’s a must read for all members!

Arrived in terrible condition
The book itself was great. It arrived with about 20 pages covered in dirt. As the package was sealed when it arrived I can only assume that whomever packed it at the seller location was aware of its unacceptable condition but sent it anyway.
