A great problem solver for your projects. I think the key to this particular model is that it is water resistant so it's a great candidate for water level projects or just outdoor projects in general.The boards themselves are nice and compact. There is lots of documentation and demos out on the web to get started. A key feature to note is that the board has 5 operating modes set by adding resistance or a short to R19 next to the comms header. For my testing i utilized mode 5 for full serial mode with the onboard chip providing all the calculations and serial out of the calculated distance. I utilized my ESP32 to echo the serial connection. with success. But there are a few other options for low power and direct read formats to help find a solution that works best for you. Accuracy was surprisingly good from my testing out of the box, but there was a lot of jitters and errors to account for in software for the best results. And if you want to get in the weeds you can always direct read off the pulse signal and reception timings with the other modes. The leads to the sensor head are pretty long to help position your project and the little snap pins help it lock into place.anyway, this is a great set of boards and compliment to anyone's maker project bin. The compact boards, battery friendly low power modes and weatherproof sensor opens the doors to lots of outdoorsy projects.

I am using this module in AI robotic car project. I was blown away by the level of accuracy and response reaction this module has. I stepped up my project from Arduino Nano to a ESP32 take advantage of the hardware resources of thus module. Adafruit has some great libraries to get you going with some good sample coding for this module. It is moderately priced, but worth it! Very satisfied!

I use to build car robotics using Arduino/raspberry pi. Since its waterproof, I am be able to use it for outdoor projects that are expose to harsh weather. I will recommend it.
