The label on the bottle has no further details...just "natural flavors," which I would guess would come from corn...but that is totally a guess. You might try contacting the makers. I completely agree with you about the ingredients being important. I have over 20 things I can't eat without getting very sick! I don't get sick from this Corn Extract.

Q: This isn't very keto friendly when it's 1g carb for only a tsp- does the organic cane alcohol cancel that carb? What's the amount of sugar alcohol?

1tsp goes into a whole recipe. 1 carb pet tsp. 0 sugar alcohol. Don't know if it cancles carb.

Hi, thank you for the question. Yes, extracts are a great addition to soups or chowders, though it is always best to use the extract during the cooking process of them. Q: How long does it last? What's the expiration date vs when you bought it?

I suppose the simple answer is, it depends on how much you use and how often you use it. I personally reorder a bottle every 4 months. I use a teaspoon in a batch of almond flour cornbread muffins, which I make frequently. As far as an expiration date, I don't see one on the bottle. This really doesn't concern me because it is an extract which contains some small amount of alcohol, which has a forever shelf life. I have 12 year old whiskey. Hope this answers your question.
