GREAT FOR WALKS, BUT BULKY
I really like my new UPWalker for going on walks or when I need to go longer distances. It is bulky for everyday use, and I plan on getting a more 'bare' and lighter upright/stand-up walker for daily use. This is surprisingly easy to get into and out of the back of my SUV, but takes up lots of space and is heavy. It traveled better than I expected, and I never planned on having it replace a lighter walker.

Terrible customer service
Second purchase of a Journey Health and Lifestyle Upwalker. First purchase worked well after knee and hip surgeries to help me stand tall. After 2 years of daily use the frame began to weaken and the brake cables broke. Could not be fixed according to customer service. Purchased a new Upwalker in June 2024. In August a cable broke. I should have learned from the first one. After numerous calls and emails, I finally reached customer service and was told they would place an order for replacement cables. September, no cables. Called, emailed again, no response. It’s not safe for me to use this without brakes because I use a ramp in and out of my home. They will sell this expensive walker but won’t back it up with service. Shame.UPDATE 9/23/2024: Finally received the replacement cable for my new Upwalker. No instructions for repair were included. It requires a special tool. Customer service has no service referrals and suggests I hire a handyman. They refuse to provide any assistance. So I am left with a $700 piece of junk! DO NOT BUY!!

lOVE my UPWALKER but......
Love my UPWALKER but I wore the right front wheels down so much that the brake does not catch. Order a replacement in March and it was on back ordered until the end of May. Now it is June and is still on backorder until the end of July. We switched the back wheels to the front.....mistake. So....when I walk, I stay away for unlevel ground or it will take off with from me. I would have given it five stars but for the parts supply problem. I miss the long walks that include a few hills.

This is wonderful!!!
I love how it works out 💪 arms while I watch Netflix! This is just in the house usage. I use my older one for outdoor stuff because I have white floors. Never thought I’d enjoy it so much!!!!

Bad design at knee level on otherwise excellent product
I have now been through 6 different Rollators and a Zeen. At the bottom is a quick assessment of each. This one had such potential and if I can figure out how to keep from damaging my knees would be an excellent choice. Upwalker people,if you have a solution I can up the rating. For the TLDR crowd: If you have legs that bow out (even just a little), there is an incredibly sharp plastic piece at exactly MY knee level (19.5 inches from the ground) where the seat is made to slide forward to sit on it. Every time I turn and step, my knee bangs into it. And it is HARD and SHARP. 3 inch bruise, cut through the skin THROUGH my pants. Only happens on my right knee so far for reasons unknown.I cannot give this more than a 1 star and that is a major shame. This one thing could actually chip a bone depending on the person and is dangerous in my book.Pros:Arms go tall enoughArms are mostly steady (wobble some, but I have to put pressure on them)Seat is wide enough (but see cons)Seat pushes back so you have enough room for a decent strideHeavy duty handbars for sitting and standingAll four wheels can swivel, which is great when you need to turn in small placesNice size wheelsThe arm motion helps pull your back up into place. I very much like it.When pinned stationary, the angle on the arms is slightly up. I also very much like that.Mostly easy fold up and fold out.Goes through all my doorways.Cons:Seat is too low. No adjustment on it. I can use it with the handbars because they are so heavy duty, but not comfortable at all (5'6"). I'll likely throw a cushion on it.Not enough room for my shoulders between the arm rests. I'm not huge, I fit in an airline seat, but the arm rests push against my shoulders when I sit. I can raised them two notches and be ok, but that means I have to adjust before I sit down, then adjust when I want to move on. Some days, that is just not doable. Seems like there should be a way to twist those out of the way, but maybe the designers don't actually use their products.Handbars are also too low. No adjustment. When your knees and hips are hurting, you don't want to have to squat down even a little to reach the handles.Heavy to lift into a car. I can, I have a sweet set up with a board and lifting handles that I use for my Zeen. Works for this.Deal breaker-The front of the seat track is exactly at my knee level. The kneecap. When the seat is not pulled towards the user, there is a really sharp plastic corner which is attached to a metal bar. The metal bars is chamfered, but the plastic is not. When my knee hits that sharp plastic there is no give due to the metal bar. And it hurts, cuts and bruises. If I am very slow and careful I can avoid hitting it, but I got this to help keep me from being slow. I don't want to have to either wrap my knee so it won't get damaged, or have to go really slow to make sure I don't hit it. If you have knees that bend inwards or if you already go very slow you maybe won't have this issue.Bottom line, I am very sad and trying to figure out if I want to keep it to exercise outside and just wrap up my knee, or send it back. So close and yet light years away. If the legs were adjustable then I could move that up and out of my knee path, but they aren't.Rollators I have used:Zeen-Different from anything you have ever used (gozeen.com). Love this as I can go for hours in any kind of flat surface environment. Hills, not so much.Flying Joy (Purple)8 inch all terrain Wheels adjustable height-Best indoor rollator, IMO. Legs adjustable, arms adjustable, nice seat, room to sit, bag under seat for carrying things, folds flatish, wheels go over everything without catching (so far), plastic handles have some give so don't destroy my hands.Veloped Trek- best outdoor rollator. Pneumatic tires, but still rolls even if tire goes flat. Easy on off for wheels, main body fold up somewhat. I can easily disassemble and get it in and out of my car. Adjustable height for handles. Seat moves forward out of the way. Barely enough room between handles to sit for me, though.Drive RTL10261BL 6 inch wheel adjustable height (2)-never again. I had an old one of my mother's used until it broke, then just bought a new one like it because a rollator is a rollator, right? Nope. Destroys my upper body.Drive 10243 CleverLite- Love this but it's too wide for most of my doorways. I kept it for outside gardening.OasisSpace Pneumatic Rubber Upright Walker-all terrain- flimsy, wobbly, I have nothing really good to say. Arms were located in the wrong place for me, no adjustment on angle for those. It left the building.
