Not sure what the secret sauce in the LEDs used in these units are but this is a GREAT flashlight (or Torch if you prefer...). We have a 10 year old version of this same flashlight and we have changed the batteries ONCE. Likes; Bright, lighted grip (also fairly bright), lightweight WATERPROOF and floats. EZ to use pushbutton with several settings. Great for night walking, as in keeping you seen with the lighted handle.Also a good gift.Be careful of who you buy this from as this manufacturer makes much smaller units that appear similar (& were sold as such, not bought via Prime). I cannot vouch for the smaller versions of this flashlight at this time.

I bought 2 of these to send to campnwith my kids. They are led so felt good about not sending them with extra batteries. They are light weight but large enough that they won't easily get lost. The button is easy to push to turn on the light and has 3 settings for the flash light, beacon or emergency light and a glow light. The best partvof the light is the removeable handle that was perfect for storing needed items such as keys, pencil, money, etc... My kids loved having these and I loved that it served multiple purposes.

Life Gear has come a long way. I had similar a few years ago. And finally broke. To no fault of Life Gear. I used it as a brace and it just couldn’t take the tension strain put on it.I bought this one. Seems brighter than the original. The one bad thing, and a continued design flaw, the light stick end has no barrier between the advertised storeage ability and the bulb, what ever is stored in the “tail” can easily hit the bulbvand breaking it from its soldered connection. Perhapsxa clear disk could be fit over the bulb section protecting it from such incident.Otherwise the various light features are nice. With flashlight, warning blinker, or steady-on, makes this a versatile flashlight. And Life Gear includes the 3 AA batteries needed so is ready out of packaging.

My favorite flashlight of all time. I have one which is several years old and still works like new. I just purchased 3 more for my vehicles. No issues at all - very happy.

I feel I can walk the dog and also bee seen with the glowing handle! Just what I wanted for my security as well as a night time walking flashlight during the winter months

The first flashlight was shipped in a manilla, bubble wrap, clasped envelope. When I took it out of the package the front flashlight part worked sporadically but rarely. I contacted the company and they (somewhat begrudgingly) sent me out a new one which was packaged better and it is great! It does exactly what I want it to - allows me to walk my dog and not only see what is in front of me, but the green "glow stick" type light in the back and around the front allow cars to see me as I walk. My neighborhood has no sidewalks and few street lights so having a flashlight that allows passing drivers to see us in the road is essential. While the first one came so badly packaged that I suspect some wires were no longer firmly connected was annoying, once I had a working product it is exactly what I had hoped for.

This is a great design and concept with 2 problems. First as mentioned in other reviews, there is nothing protecting the bulb from the storage area, so the bulb could easily be damaged. Second the auto on in water feature doesn't work. I've purchased and returned 5 so far and it hasn't worked on any.The other features work great and just like the other reviews state this is a very handy flashlight. Depending on what you need, life gear makes a version similar to this one but with an extra lantern function (vs storage in the handle). That is an even better flashlight unless you want the handle storage. It might be a tiny bit heavier too but not by much. These flashlights are light because they don't use d batteries and they are made of plastic.

Really should get a few for each of the main areas of the house in case of an outage, and for each car. Great for traveling and camping, with the red light (and flashing red, to attract attention if someone got lost). It’s lightweight and definitely not heavy-duty (won’t survive getting run over, or something), but it’s pretty durable overall.

I bought one and then ordered a second one. When it is dark, it is easy to find the button to turn it on. Good illumination. Perfect for my needs and reasonable price.

Es una característica incluída (hazme el favor!) por el fabricante. Al solicitarle información de cómo desactivar dicha función, el fabricante indica que no es posible, que asi estan diseñadas.
